Osborne House may have been the former home of Queen Victoria but when it comes to enjoying half terms they’re all about fun and frolics. This half term will see the house come to life once more with a whole week of Victorian fun and games, perfect for keeping the kids entertained during a visit to the stunning English Heritage landmark.
Children can play the same games that the royal children would have enjoyed in the same grounds, and as you explore the house and its gardens you’ll see just why it was such an important place for the queen to retreat to when she wanted to avoid the world’s gaze.
Osborne House has its own private beach (well the royals couldn’t just lounge on any old beach!), and entry to the property includes free run of the gardens, beach and grounds. Osborne House remains much as it was when it was home to Queen Victoria and her husband, and it’s a fascinating attraction no matter what the weather.
