Now this is the kind of popular little beach café that you may well miss if you didn’t have friendly folk like us to give you the heads up. The Beach Hut Café sits at the bottom of some steps peering down over Forelands Beach and the striking Bembridge Ledge.
The café specialises in seafood and serves up delicious fresh food with beautiful views. There’s a kiosk for those of you who don’t want to sit and eat, but even if you visit when the weather’s a little on the chilly side you’ll have the pleasure of wrapping up in one of the blankets that are thoughtfully draped across the chairs.
The menu offers Isle of Wight crab, afternoon teas and a selection of vegetation options. The café even provides a range for those who need to stick to gluten-free diets, so just ask if you have any special requirements. Dogs are welcome (since it’s a dog friendly beach it makes sense that they’re allowed to the café with the rest of the family) and The Beach Hut is enjoying something of a reputation as an up and coming spot on the foodie scene.
