The NeedlesThe Needles are probably the must-see Isle of Wight attraction, as they’re one of the island’s most famous sights. The Needles Park at Alum Bay is THE spot to learn more about the dramatic rocks and nearby lighthouse, and it’s great fun for the whole family. It’s free to enter the park, and the rides and activities are pay as you go. The coloured sand cliffs that overlook the landmark Needles are also unmissable, and there are boat trips and a chairlift available from the park to get even closer to The Needles during your visit.

St Catherine's LighthouseJust a few miles from Ventnor, St Catherine’s Lighthouse is another iconic Isle of Wight attraction. Built in 1838, tours of the lighthouse are a fascinating chance to learn more about its long history. There are 94 steps up to the lantern inside, so wear comfy shoes if you visit! Look out for small chippings in the lens if you take the tour, as these were the results of bombing raids during WWII. There is also a Union Jack displayed near the engine house, in honour of three keepers who perished in a raid while they tended the lighthouse.

The Isle of Wight Steam RailwayThe Isle of Wight Steam Railway is one of the best-loves Isle of Wight family attractions. The award-winning railway trundles through the rural scenery of the island, thrilling passengers with a nostalgic experience by steam train. A ride on one of the vintage steam locomotives is a unique chance to experience the sounds, smells and fun of rail travel in days gone by, and they run throughout the year. There are also seasonal events to look out for on the steam railway, such as Santa Specials, Wizard Week and a ‘Day Out with Thomas’.

Amazon World Zoo ParkAmazon World is by far the most exotic Isle of Wight attraction! The zoo park is a relaxing rainforest experience, with the chance to see over 200 species of animal as you explore. The park is home to primates, penguins, parrots, Kinkajou (we’re not sure either!) and many more weird and wonderful creatures. The whole attraction is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and it’s open everyday from 10am.
