Please note this property only accepts Saturday to Saturday bookings during June, July and August.
Protea is a lovely Victorian property that enjoys views over Torquay and the sea. Set over 2 floors, there is the added benefit of the large gardens and a heated outdoor pool (26th May - 22nd Sept).
The position offers peace and tranquillity, yet is only a short walk to the sea front and Torre Abbey sands, and then an enjoyable stroll along the sea front to Torquay Marina and harbour. In the opposite direction there is a pleasant woodland walk along Cockington Valley to the thatched village and Cockington Court, which has country park status and is well worth visiting.

Living
- A light and airy lounge area with high ceilings and large windows.
- Traditional furniture which includes a three seater settee and a two seater settee, a three seater Chesterfield and a chaise longue.
- Other antique furniture includes tables and a bookcase with plentiful books for guests to borrow.
- Doors lead to a conservatory area with further seating and furniture.
- Entertainment is provided by a widescreen TV with Sky Satellite, and a DVD/Video player.

- Fitted to a high standard and offers a more casual dining area with another table and eight chairs.
- Pleasant views overlooking the gardens.
- Fully equipped kitchen with quality integrated appliances including electric fan oven with grill, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a combination microwave.

- Spacious dining hall with a dining table and eight chairs.
- Period display cabinet and original Victorian fireplace.

"The room sizes are excellent, we had 4 children with us under 1 and every room had more than enough room for travel cots. The views across Torquay from Protea are fantastic especially first thing in the morning and at dusk.
