Torquay has a wide variety of attractions on offer such as day cruises around the bay, fishing trips, Living Coasts coastal zoo, Kent's Cavern prehistoric caves, the Princess Theatre and of course plenty of shops to peruse. The nearest beach to Water Meadows is Torre Abbey Sands, a large expanse of golden sand that is family friendly and has the Blue Flag award.
Cockington Village, one of the oldest settlements in the area, is nearby, where you can indulge in a cream tea in one of the historic, original thatched houses. You will also find Cockington Court, where you can enjoy craft exhibitions and demonstrations, or simply relax in the extensive grounds.
The recently-refurbished, medieval monastery Torre Abbey, is also nearby provides some excellent insight into Torquay's history as well as housing some fabulous seasonal exhibitions.View the access statement for this property
