Teignmouth is a charming town packed with seaside charm and with a quaint, unspoilt feel and bags of local character. Perfect for a stroll along the Victorian pier or for a lazy day spent relaxing on the long stretches of golden sand, the town is also packed with interesting days out and some charming coastal and country walks.
With some great restaurants and pubs, a host of family-friendly attractions including a small zoo in nearby Shaldon and the fascinating Teignmouth Museum, there is plenty to see and do during your stay. With two great beaches in the town and the charming Shaldon beach nearby, a day on the sand is a must during your stay. July’s Teignmouth Carnival and the Jazz Festival in November area also well worth a look.

Full Property Description
Shoreside is a new development on the banks of the River Teign in Shaldon, one of Devon’s most scenic villages. These properties have been built to a high specification so as to blend in with the local architecture. The riverside location makes this a superb place to enjoy a holiday.
Shaldon village itself has five welcoming pubs that, along with the superb views across the estuary, serve some excellent meals as well as cafes, restaurants and bistros to choose from. There is a good range of local shops including a bakery, general stores, a local butcher and a delicatessen.
A short climb to 'The Ness', a tree topped cliff overlooking the mouth of the river will be rewarded by a magnificent view across to Teignmouth and out to sea. Shaldon Wildlife centre, a small zoo dedicated to conservation also located here.
There is a small passenger ferry available which transports visitors on a scenic crossing from Shaldon beach over to Teignmouth. Whilst in Teignmouth take a scenic stroll along the banks of the River Teign or take in a little nostalgia on the seafront pier, which also provides stunning views along the coastline.
For visitors in search of some retail therapy then Exeter is just a short drive away, catering for all your shopping demands. Whilst there pay a visit to the impressive Exeter Cathedral or stroll along the picturesque canal, home to an array of antique shops and waterside cafes.Please note this property is only suitable for a maximum of 4 adults with 2 children.

- The well appointed kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, double oven with gas hob and hood over, chrome kettle and toaster, and a cafetiere.
- A door leads to the utility room where there is a washer/dryer and stainless steel sink, with a door giving access to the rear patio.
- Includes a light wood table with 6 chairs.
- A high chair is provided for younger guests.
- An iron and ironing board are available.

Bedroom one with en-suite
- A spacious bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, a dressing table and 3 sliding door mirrored wardrobes.
- En-suite shower room.
Bedroom two
- Decorated for children, this room has bunk beds, a play table (complete with wooden toy railway) and a 5-drawer chest.
Bedroom three
- Contains twin beds, bedside units with lamps, a wardrobe with 2 drawers and a matching dressing table and stool.
Bathroom
- Main bathroom comprises a wash basin, w.c., bath with shower attachment, as well as a mirror, glass shelves, chrome heated towel rail and shaver point.
- En-suite to bedroom one comprises a shower, w.c., wash basin, chrome heated towel rail and accessories, and a shaver point.
- On the groundfloor there is a w.c with wash basin.
Outside
- At the front of the property there is a small garden.
- The rear of the property has a patio area with a table and 2 chairs and parking for 1 vehicle.

5 Shoreside is a fantastically located home from home which enables you to enjoy everything that Shaldon and Teignmouth have to offer. A quiet retreat for adults and an amazing base for families. The house has all those little extras that wont fit in the car. Shaldon beach is a stones throw from the house and only a short walk from the ferry terminal which takes you to and from Teignmouth. Fab when heading home from a long day at the beach! I highly recommend this property.
