Steeped in Celtic history, smuggling and shipwrecks, Penzance is a charming South Cornwall town full of character with some truly splendid views. Sat in the Land’s End peninsula, its sheltered position and warmer climate make for some interesting plant life and the town is brought to life in the spring and summer months with a blaze of floral splendour.
With Land’s End just ten miles away and excellent links to the wider Cornwall, staying occupied is not a problem during your stay, with rare plant gardens, a helicopter ride to the enchanting Scilly Isles and the striking St. Michaels Mount; there is certainly plenty to see and do. The fascinating history can be explored in the Museum, while a day at one of the sun kissed beaches is the perfect way to relax. With restaurant and pubs aplenty, a fine selection of shops and even an open air theatre on the coast, Penzance makes for an ideal holiday destination.

Golden Sands is a fantastic holiday home situated just a few steps from the gorgeous Praa Sands near Penzance. It is the perfect destination for anyone who loves the sea and beach life with plenty of water sports on offer. Away from the activities there is ample opportunity to unwind and soak up the views on the large decked terrace; the perfect place with relax with a cool drink. The decked terrace is also the perfect place to storm watch.
Golden Sands is the perfect location for sea fishing. The property has rods and tackle for guests use for those who would like sea fish. Windsurfing is also available on the beach for those water sport lovers.
Praa Sands is one of the finest beaches to be found and boasts 1/2 mile of beautiful golden sands popular with families, surfers and bathers alike. The village centre is just a short walk away from the property where you'll find a pub, post office with general stores, cafes and a fish and chip shop practically on the beach.
The South West coast path is just a few yards away and offers a camera opportunity at every step; a firm favourite with seasoned and novice walkers alike.
West Cornwall can be easily explored with the nearby towns of Penzance, The Lizard and St Ives all just a short drive away.On arrival at Golden Sands every guest will be greeted with a traditional cream tea.

- Main family bathroom comprises a large Jacuzzi Chromo therapy bath (Chromo therapy, sometimes called colour therapy, is based on the premise that certain colours are infused with healing energies. The therapy uses the seven colours of the rainbow to promote balance and healing in the mind and body), vanity unit with wash basin and w.c.

"The location of Golden Sands is as near perfect as one could wish for. In very close proximity to the sea and far enough away from busy roads to offer peace and quiet and the opportunity to take in the wonderful views. The property is tastefully furnished and equipped with everything that you would expect and then with a few extras to enhance the experience. Our favourite is the sun lounge which is warm even when the outside temperature may not be, and it offers those beautiful panoramic sea views too. When the weather is warmer the decking offers a lovely place to enjoy the sea air and "catch a few rays". As properties go it is a perfect place no matter what the season or the weather, (although a nice sunny day is hard to beat) the central heating is very efficient and for that added cozy evening in, the log fire in the living room makes it that bit more cozy. Would we return, yes please! Unusually for us, we normally never return to the same place as the world is still a big place with plenty of places to see. However there are places that you fall in love with, and this is the place, we can't wait to return next year." Thank you Brad. The cottage is well equipped in the kitchen and means that cooking simple or special meals was a treat. Throughout the rest of the home most modern day essentials have been considered. We didn't have a phone signal but the WiFi throughout the house gave us enough communication with the outside world. The fire provided atmosphere on chilly evenings but the outdoor space and views and the location of the cottage were what the holiday so perfect for us. Praa Sands was surprisingly busy on New Year’s Day with families, surfers, dog walkers and those just enjoying the stunning location. We loved the fact that this little community came to life for the day (helped by the most fantastic weather). Would we recommend it to you: Yes, for an outdoorsy holiday with access to good local amenities just a few miles away. Yes for a romantic break.
