The picturesque fishing town of Looe is situated on the spectacular South Cornwall Coast in a largely unspoilt area of the South West. The town comprises of two villages, East Looe and West Looe, which are divided by the waters of the River Looe Estuary. There is a wide range of restaurants and cafes, many of them on the quay, where you can sample the local fish and watch the sun go down over the river. Traditional Inns and cosy pubs are tucked away in the narrow streets and offer a relaxed atmosphere. Three miles to the West of Looe is the quaint fishing village of Polperro. The towns are characterised by their narrow cobbled streets, steeped in history and full of stories and legends of smugglers and fishing.
Sandwiched between the two towns are a collection of hidden coves and spectacular sandy beaches ideal for swimming, walking or just relaxing. The world famous Eden Project is in the neighbouring town of St. Austell and the historic city of Plymouth, with it’s shops, sights and attractions, is within a short drive.

Full Property Description
Barn Owl Cottage is situated in beautiful open countryside yet is just a short drive away from the picturesque fishing village of Looe with its sandy beach, traditional inns and restaurants. The South West Coastal Path is within easy walking distance affording beautiful views across the South Cornwall coast. This is a delightful property to relax in any time of the year.
Please note: This property can be booked together with Swallow Cottage to accommodate up to 8 guests.
A travel cot and highchair are available free of charge.
Living
- The entrance to Barn Owl Cottage is via a wooden stable door into the open plan living area which benefits from beautiful rural views.
- Cosy sofa and coffee table.
- Entertainment is provided by a TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player and a selection of books.
Kitchen
- Appliances include an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
Dining
- The dining area is situated in the open living area, adjacent to the kitchen, and features a pine table and 4 chairs.
Sleeping
Master bedroom with en-suite
- Beautiful rural views and exposed beams.
- A double bed, 2 bedside tables with bedside lamps, dressing table, full length mirror and built in wardrobes.
- En-suite bathroom comprising wash basin and w.c.

- The second bedroom is on the ground floor and features twin beds with 2 bedside tables and bedside lamps.

Property resources
An extremely charming cottage and location. Even though the overall interior and furniture needs attention it is a very pleasant place to stay. If you like wild life there are plenty of rabbits and birds to keep you occupied at the cottage and the Alpac's in the fields all around are lovely.
