About Kingsand & Cawsand
- Beautiful and quiet villages
- Area of outstanding natural beauty
- Take the ferry to Plymouth for a day out
The adjoining villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are the perfect base for the tourist or holiday maker looking for a quiet getaway. The historical fishing villages are unspoilt by time and still retain their colour-washed cottages, narrow streets, pubs, restaurants and shops. There are a good number of friendly pubs in the villages as well as a couple of general stores, galleries and a delicatessen.
Kingsand and Cawsand lie within the boundaries of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park - one of four designated Country Parks in Cornwall. The villages overlook Plymouth Sound and have the River Tamar valley on hand, waiting to be discovered. Looe and Polperro are only a short drive away and both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are about a 45 minute drive.

Full Property Description
Lyndale Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed cottage, full of character and situated on the beautiful Rame Peninsula, in the historic village of Kingsand. The cottage is the 2nd oldest in the village and was built from parts of a ship that had been wrecked on the Eddy Stone Rock and has an original ships door as one of the doors in the house.
Kingsand and Cawsand offer a haven of peace and tranquility. Relax on the beach, in one of the village pubs or cafes or take a stroll through the narrow streets of colour washed cottages and shops that follow.
Swimming, fishing, windsurfing and water skiing are all available on the beaches or you can follow the coast path through the village and the Mount Edgcumbe estate to Cremyll. In the other direction the coast path takes you round the headland to the glorious sandy beach of Whitsand Bay.
From Cawsand, and just a few minutes' walk from the property, you can take a passenger ferry across to the city of Plymouth which offers an abundance of high street and independent shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, theatres and attractions to suit everyone. The Barbican and Hoe are steeped in history and are definitely worth a visit.
