A La Ronde

One of the most bizarre family attractions in East Devon is A La Ronde, just outside of the sleepy village of Lympstone. This is sure to be the first 16-sided house you ever visit, and is  also likely to be the only one you come across!

Built for a pair of spinster sisters in the 18 century, A La Ronde is as fascinating within as from the outside. The eccentric décor includes a shell-encrusted room, a feather frieze and the belongings of the sisters themselves. Mnay of their treasures  were collected on their journeys around Europe.

Exmouth Museum

Exmouth Museum is a hidden treasure of an East Devon attraction! Tucked inside former Council Stables and an old foreman’s cottage, the museum houses hundreds of nostalgic and fascinating artifacts, offering a real insight into the rich heritage of the town.
