Holiday at the Gannets

Our holiday at the Gannets was great we all really enjoyed ourselves the property was very clean as my children commented I didn't need to clean it before we stayed there which was great as I normally clean a holiday home before we unpack. The location was great, lovely walks for the dogs and it was so nice that we could take the dogs sham about the extra cost. Overall it was a very relaxing holiday which we all enjoyed. Thank you.

The Gannets

The Gannets has been a wonderful four day retreat. The cottage has been so well thought out and has provided everything we have needed. The garden is just a picture full of colour and wild life. A short walk to the Smugglers Inn is just perfect at the end of a day (or breakfast) at the beginning! Thank you and can we come again next year?

The Gannets

We have had a lovely relaxing week here in Dorset; your holiday home has been great - just right for the 5 of us! Very clean, comfortable and well- equipped! We have all loved watching badgers every night, and couldn't believe how close they came to the door. It has been great to stay in a dog friendly home with a dog friendly garden. We are all sad to be leaving.

Cottage was very clean...

The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Everything was really good, we managed with a wheelchair and there was plenty of room to move it around. The garden was beautiful and we saw the badgers most evenings and it was lovely to watch all the birds feeding. Thank you for a really fantastic holiday, hope to come back one day!

The Gannets

To say our holiday has been fantastic is an understatement! This house has been a fabulous base for all of us to explore the Dorset coastline. The garden is beautiful and we have all enjoyed spending time in it either playing badminton or just relaxing. the house was immaculate when we arrived and had been cleaned to a very high standard. We really can not praise this house enough and would love to return here next year. Thank you both very much for a 'holiday to remember!

Thank you...

Every year we like to spend our holidays in cottages. We've stayed in Italy, France, Finland, Scotland and Germany too. But nothing could compare with your cottage and beautiful garden with all the birds and the badger. We enjoyed this week very much, this house just provides everything and more. Thank you so much!

The Gannets

We had the most delightful week in this lovely, clean and comfortable home. The garden is especially beautiful, with the regular appearance of 'Mr. Brock' (the badger). Plenty to do in the area. Enjoyed the coastal walk to Ringsread (about 2 miles). Wish we could stay longer. We'll be back.

The Gannets

Lovely bungalow, well equipped. Location is perfect and quiet but not isolated. Recommend the Smugglers Inn, just watch your head if over 6ft. Only issue is the drive, we had no problem with a Volvo estate but noticed many had commented on the fact they couldn't get on and off. Overall lovely holiday.

We all enjoyed the comforts of the Gannets, everything we could possibly require. Weather was a bit wet and dull but we made the most of the glimpses of sun, to Durdle Door, Hulworth Cove and Ringstead Bay (Surpurb!). Was excited when we saw badger, 3 times and a young fox . Hope to return!

We have enjoyed a wonderful week in you lovely holiday home. It had everything you could ask for and helpful little extras that are usually not thought of. We have watched for the badgers nightly and have been rewarded with two on several nights munching right outside the door. The neighbours have been very friendly and helpful and we were grateful to park on the drive next door. Many thanks for lettings us stay. Kayla loved how big the garden was and looking out of the big balcony windows.

A. Very well presented and equipped property, , a very good location for exploring Dorset, Great meals at the Smugglers Inn (just down the road) We would highly recommend The Gannets (our American friends were very pleased with the accommodation) BUT, the parking is a serious problem, there are two spaces, we drive a Lexus It was not an easy job to park on the Drive, the other space is only suitable for a small car, we feel that this problem should be addressed The Badgers in the garden were a total delight

It really was home from home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It really was home from home. It had everything we required and it was so peaceful at night. It was lovely to see the family of badgers at night, Unfortunately it was too late for the kids. Such a lovely area, would love to come again.

Excellent property with beautiful gardens close nestled in a pretty valley close to the Ocean

The Gannets is definitely a premium property compared with others in the UK that we have experienced. The interior is clean and welcoming. Our party consisted 2 adults, 2 children and 2 elderly parents. The property exceeded expectations based upon the website photos and descriptions. The owners were very friendly and approachable. This is a great property for a family reunion as it has lots of space to spread out. The gardens are beautifully maintained with uncountable flowering plants especially roses. The property is suitable for less mobile guests having a ground floor double bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is large and has all the conveniences that could be required. The equipment is of a high quality. The property has excellent wifi for those who need access to the internet. We had a lovely experience and we highly recommended the Gannets. We will book this property again if the opportunity arises.

The Gannets

We have all had a wonderful stay in this lovely cosy well equipped house with it's beautiful garden. It's been so peaceful and with two small girls so noisy, but a real delight to have so much to show them in the garden in the way of wildlife and so many varieties of birds and we (adults) finally got to see the badger ! We've had almost perfect weather, not too hot, not too cold, very little rain and loads to do whilst here in the Weymouth area. Thank you very much for lending us a base for an unforgettable holiday.

We have had a lovely four night break, shame we couldn't stay longer. House had everything we needed and was very cosy with the fire lit. Weather was not fantastic, unfortunately but enjoyed the scenic walks along the coastal paths. A great place to visit for all the family and Dog. Many Thanks.

The Gannets

Our short stay at the Gannets, Weymouth was a perfect location for a quiet break shared with family members. Its ideal for leaving the car parked and walking from your front door on to the coastal path, not forgetting that you can stop at the nearby pub, Smugglers Inn for a well earned drink and something to eat (if you don't fancy cooking back at the house). The property comfortably accommodates six adults and a dog, is well equipped and has a lovely garden although the weather wasn't too great for us to make the most of it during our stay. We managed to park two small cars on the drive however I understand the owners have plans to improve this.

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The house is clean and welcoming. The milk and tea on arrival was a lovely touch and needed. My children commented that I didn't need to clean the house first which is the first holiday home I haven't, so thank you. The garden is lovely and nice to see the badger. We will be back as it is lovely here, with lots of nice walks for the dogs. Thank you for making this a well deserved holiday.

Another lovely stay at The Gannets. A very warm and welcoming cottage/bungalow. The children love it here, playing in the garden and the woods. Went for a couple of long very lovely walks with a visit to the Smugglers Inn. We enjoyed staying here and hope to come back again in 2015!

A lovely, warm, cosy house which we enjoyed very much for the week. The children loved the garden and the beach and always found things to busy themselves with. The Gannets

The Gannets has been a very cosy and welcoming base for us to spend our Christmas holiday. It has a lovely home from home feel about it and has been spacious enough for six adults and a very lively two year old to not feel on top of each other. We have been able to enjoy the local area even though the weather wasn't fantastic and also have trips out as far as Bournemouth and also Torquay!
