Description

Nestled away between Weymouth and Portland, the village of Wyke Regis provides the perfect position to explore the Jurassic coastline. Located at the south-eastern end of Chesil Beach, the village is also just a short drive from the market town of Dorchester.

Located in a quiet residential area, Meadow View is a traditional 3 bedroom 1930’s semi-detached house which benefits from being newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Comfortably sleeping five, the property is laid out across two floors, comprising an open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen and three bedrooms offering generous storage space. Externally, there is plenty of space to find a quiet corner to relax or simply enjoy some family fun, on the decked terrace area or garden lawn. The patio and terrace areas also provide the ideal opportunity to indulge in a little al fresco dining.

The classic seaside resort of Weymouth has attractions to suit all tastes and ages. A Georgian seafront with a wonderful award winning golden sandy beach and shallow waters, a variety of restaurants fronting the idyllic leisure harbour and Brewer’s Quay hosting the Sealife Centre.

Portland Harbour, which was the venue for the 2012 Sailing Olympics, is excellent for sailing, kite and wind surfing, offering world class facilities. Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is approximately 5 minutes drive. The rugged Isle of Portland is rich with birdlife and fossils and a good area for sea fishing off Chesil Beach.

The World Heritage status Jurassic coastline stretches east and west from Weymouth with pretty villages and awe inspiring views along the way. The South West Coastal Path also passes around the coast of Wyke Regis providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy walking surrounded by outstanding sea and country views.

Weekend in Weymouth

Arriving later on Friday evening having driven through rain and fog the house was a warm welcome. It provided a home from home experience. Very clean and with a contemporary finish. The children loved the well stocked DVDs, books and games. It is in a quiet position with easy and fast access to a cooperative store, Chinese take away, Daniels fish and chip shop and backs onto a field which also has a park within it. A short 10 minute drive to Weymouth sea front. We would stay here again should we return to Weymouth for another holiday and would only hope that the sun may shine on us allowing us to also enjoy some of the spectacular views I think we missed out on!

Meadow View

When arriving at Meadow View, Weymouth it was hassle free from booking to departure we had an excellent holiday here. It was spotlessly clean and decor immaculate, all modern facilities in house. Did not want for anything. Close to all amenities and beautiful walks in area. Fantastic time. Cannot wait to stay in your properties again.

Meadow View

I have just returned from a week staying at Meadowview in Weymouth with my 3 teenage children. It was one of the most delightful holidays we have taken as a family. The property was stunning and catered for every need. It was spotless and in a wonderful location. We had the added bonus of have a week of the most amazing weather, and felt like we were in the Med but without all the hassle of an airport!! There is so much to see and do in this lovely area, and we cannot wait to return to Meadowview. Highly recommend Blue Chip holidays.

Meadow View

We knew we were in for a pleasant stay when we bumped into the gardener tending to the roses at Meadow View. It was well presented, neat, clean and tidy upon our arrival & the holiday let was well equipped for our week ahead. It was well furnished and very functional for 3 little boys to have fun in, with gardens, patios and a fun park to play in right at the end of the garden, and the neighbours were friendly and helpful too. What a lovely holiday we all had! Well done Blue Chip & Co.

We spent a really enjoyable week at Meadow View and would definitely go there again if we holiday in the Weymouth area. The house is well situated in a quiet area just outside of Weymouth town (5 min drive) and the house is really well equipped with all you need to look after a family. Nice large terrace at the back leading into a large garden area. The service offered by Blue Chip was excellent re.details rental etc..One of the best holiday rentals we've been to.

Meadowview Weymouth

Excellent property, clean and in a great position as 2 minutes from Co-op, pub with good food and fish and chip shop. Garden was greatly enjoyed by our small dogs (however it is very wet at the end of the garden) if you go across the field at the back of the house along a path and down the road you are on the Rodwell trail (which is a disused railway track re made for walking and riding - please watch out for the cyclists as a lot do not have bells. It's a great walk as you can go from the Portland road up into Weymouth. The driveway to the property is narrow as as I have a Volvo estate it only left an inch either side of the wing mirrors so please widen. The property is quiet and with the decking makes an excellent sitting area for breakfast and lunch if the weather is ok. With the light coloured carpets on the stairs and all upstairs put your slippers on. Rubbish day is Wednesday - needs to be out by 7am. Could not connect to the internet so more information on this would be useful. Downstairs loo was blocked but the property management sorted it out - has happened before. Overall a good property, well positioned just mind the narrow drive.

Meadow View

Really lovely property with all the facilities you could need. Easy to find and a very good location for visiting a variety of local attractions. Perfect if you have a dog as there's a playing field/park right behind the house. Would definitely recommend it.
