We have lived in the area, as my Husband served in Portland.

We have lived in the area, as my Husband served in Portland. It was lovely to be back and introduce our Granddaughter to the area. we went rock pooling, the lovely beach at Weymouth, lovely soft sand. The accommodation was perfect for a family. Lots of lovey space, well equipped, perfectly positioned for expeditions to the beach. Weymouth has a charm of its own and we adore Portland. Lots to see and do.

Beautiful house, very homely with lots of space

Beautiful house, very homely with lots of space, even with 10 of us. Lovely hot weather all week. Visited both beaches and sealife centre and Tower. Handy store across the road and Co-op further up the road, with indian, fish and chips and chinese up the road too. We've had a lovely stay and would come again. Met the owners next door and they're very friendly and helpful. Many thanks

Love the local area, with so much to do.

Love the local area, with so much to do.We have stayed around the surrounding area visiting Portland, Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Weymouth sea front. The Rodwell Trail 4 mile walk into Weymouth is beautiful with a coffee shop half way! We would recommend the Ferry Bridge Pub just down the road for good local pub grub. We would come back to explore more. The house was a great base to use as a home from home. The local bus service is very good and we loved the donkeys on the beach! Many thanks

Christmas 2013 Best Christmas Ever!

Christmas 2013 Best Christmas Ever! Such a beautiful property and they decorated it so nicely for us, lovely big tree, stockings over the fireplace, lights outside. We really loved our stay here. The house is perfect for a big group and all the rooms are gorgeous. The log fire was a real treat and the amount of games that are in theliving room was a nice surprise too. We ate all our big meals at the kitchen table and again its nice to have the space to be altogether. The bathrooms are great and we had a lot of fun playing with the spa shower. Very handy to have a downstairs loo too. The owners are just next door and very helpful. There was a power cut on the first night and someone came round with a battery powered lamp. Lots of lovely walks very nearby, which the dog loved. You can walk across to Portland, or around the headland in the other direction. Great value for a big group and I think we'd want to come here again next Christmas. The house has a lovely feel to it
