With a history dating back a mind-boggling 185 million years, the Jurassic Coastline’s stunning from any viewpoint, but we think the aerial view from Jurassic Skyline has got to be one of the most exhilarating. Jurassic Skyline is a viewing tower in Weymouth, and if you’ve a head for heights and you fancy seeing the spectacular scenery from above it’s a fantastic experience for all ages.
Step aboard and take a seat before the gondola glides its way up to 53m above the ground, where it’ll slowly turn twice, leaving you plenty of opportunity to take in the views and capture the Jurassic Coastline on camera to show those back home. You’ll be able to spot the home of the 2012 action – Portland, Nothe Fort and Weymouth’s impressive harbour, and what a way to mark your visit to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
When the skies are clear, you’ll be able to see up to 26km away, and if you book your tickets in advance you can make the most of the Great View Guarantee – so if the weather isn’t quite at its best you can swap your tickets for another day free of charge.
