Loved it

Grandview is a great apartment, the views across the sea were superb and the location is great, right on the beach. Everything in Weymouth is within walking distance so we only took the car for visits further afield eg Portland. The apartment is very big and has literally everything you need from dishwasher tablets to cling film! It was a real home from home, owners are not at all intrusive,we loved it. Many thanks!

Grandview

Our family holiday, with our daughter, her husband and two small children, was the quintessential seaside holiday. The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable with fantastic views over the bay, and we could be on the beach in a minute or two. The managers were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful week and would strongly recommend this property and the service we received from Blue Chip Holidays and your managers.

Grandview

We stayed at Grandview with two very young children and it was a wonderful holiday! We all loved our time here. You can walk straight out the back gate onto the beach and it is only a 10 minute walk into the main part of Weymouth even with a toddler. The apartment was spacious and clean and well kept. The scones and supplies on arrival were very welcome! We all loved using the telescope to watch the boats.

The quintessential English seaside holiday

Grandview is the ideal location for a seaside holiday with small children. The beach is about 2 minutes from the door, with no busy roads to cross. There are large sandy areas as well as areas with pebbles and shells. There are many amusements for children - donkey rides, trampolines, a range of fairground rides and Punch and Judy shows. The sea is perfect for small children, with a gentle slope and shallow water to play in - it's also great for adult swimmers and older children. The centre of town is easy walking distance from the flat, as is the charming harbour, with plenty of good places to eat. This part of Dorset has lots of attractions within reach of Weymouth and is an area of great natural beauty - the view of the bay from the flat is truly stunning! We were very lucky with the weather during our stay, but we would have still found plenty to do if it hadn't been so good. Finally, our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. A wonderful holiday which I would recommend to anybody.

Grandview - it's all in the name!

Superb apartment with stunning views of the sea. The apartment was very clean, light and airy with everything supplied that you could possibly need. The owners lived downstairs and we're very friendly and welcoming and offered their assistance in anything (not that they were needed). The welcome pack was also a lovely touch including milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of wine! Very much appreciated as we didn't arrive until 6am. Thoroughly recommend this 5* apartment will be arranging a second visit very soon.

Grandview

A fantastic holiday. The view from the lovely apartment is worth every penny alone. The pictures on the website do not do the apartment justice as it is far more spacious than it appears. The families who own the property are very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic location and apartment ideal for all ages.

Grandview

Grandview, Weymouth is a fabulous apartment in a fabulous location. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with all the essentials, although with young children and an outside seating/eating area, some plastic plates and cups would've been useful. The views from the property are amazing; from the cliffs towards Lulworth Cove, to the distant views of Portland, with Weymouth Bay in between. The access to the promenade and beach via the garden also made our many trips to the beach a lot easier. We had a lovely break in a lovely location and would definitely like to return.

Grandview- the name says it all!

Lovely flat with stupendous view from front windows of Weymouth Bay! The rooms are large and well decorated, very clean and contemporary. The kitchen has obviously been refitted fairly recently and provided all we needed - Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. Even pegs for the drier in the garden. The main bedroom is very large, the others smaller but adequate. Lots of hot water and the heating can be controlled by guests. WiFi provided and 3 TV's in different rooms. We enjoyed using the telescope and binoculars provided to watch the boats out on the Bay. The staircase is very wide so no stairgate possible but the steps are wide and shallow and our little granddaughter walked up and down carefully. Good position out of the main part of Weymouth (which we did find a little down market) in a more residential area. Access to the beach is easy through the garden gate and straight across the South West Coastal Path ( no cars). Ice cream kiosk about 100yds along and the lovely Greenhill Gardens about the same in the other direction ( with a small cafe) and a short walk to the main beach area - or ride on the Landtrain! There is a small paved sitting area with a picnic table outside the summer house - buckets ans spades, balls etc all provided for guest use which was lovely. The resident owners downstairs are lovely and very friendly but not obtrusive. The only downside is the busy road outside - it can be tricky reversing out of the drive into busy traffic. My daughter and husband found the noise from the road at night was disturbing in the 2nd bedroom with the window open ( and too hot with it closed!). Also only one parking space - but there is plenty of free on-road parking not far away so we didn't find that a problem. So -would we go again ? YES!

Our stay at Grandview

We arrived 30mins early and were greeted by the owners who made us very welcome . We had lovely walks along the prom both ways and the town was in easy 10 to 15 minute stroll away. I also enjoyed the walk in the RSPB reserve, again in easy walking distant.

Grandview - a fantastic holiday

We were truly spoilt with this apartment. The photos are accurate, modest even. There were stairs up to the first floor, however they were easy access and widely set out so this shouldn't put you off. The views make it worth it! The weather was changeable during our stay but there was always something to watch out at sea, meaning that staying in was just as pleasant as heading out into Weymouth. Everything you need is provided and of great quality. Had we known there were so many books, games, DVDs there we may not have brought our own. The station, harbour, supermarkets, shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance with plenty of choice for places to eat and things to do. You don't need a car to stay here, but there is a parking spot which seems quite rare compared to other accommodation providers in the town. The apartment has a book of recommendations and menus for you to peruse. The beaches are beautiful in either direction, with no busy road to cross, you can even hear the waves from inside the flat which is very relaxing. The beds were beautifully comfortable too. We are looking forward to going again next year.

Grandview - most definitely was!

I Booked Grandview for the location, stunning views of the bay from bedroom, kitchen and lounge, property clean and well maintained. Owners live below the apartment, very friendly. Welcome gift when we arrived included tea, biscuits, lemonade, wine and a Weymouth teddy - nice touch there was also milk in the fridge so we could have a drink while settling in. Will most definitely book again for next year

Grandview Indeed

This property is ideally situated. Firstly its situation right on the Weymouth front with glorious views of Weymouth Bay. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable and the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that guests have everything they need to start their holiday. The welcome pack and milk in the fridge were much appreciated. We spent hours watching the view whilst sitting at the kitchen table but equally impressive scenes are evident from the lounge and Master Bedroom. We found the nearby Greenhill Gardens (200 yards) a haven of beauty and delight and took advantage of the tennis courts and putting green, both hired cheaply. Another big plus is the close proximity to Weymouth town centre: a pleasant walk gets you to an impressive variety of shops, including Debenhams and M&S. A continuation of this walk takes you to the Sea Life Centre, make sure you ride the Sky Tower on a clear day. There are shops aplenty and many options for eating out. The best of these we found to be Al Molo's (Italian), only a 200 yards walk towards the town. Hamilton's Restaurant is closer but maybe not as spectacular but still good. We loved the surrounding area. A highlight was our drive (west) to Burton Bradstock on Chesil Beach where we ate a superb lunch in The Hive Café. We also enjoyed our trips to Dorchester (by train...the station is easily reached on foot), Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Portland Bill. Our National Trust Membership proved useful and took us into Thomas Hardy's houses at Higher Brockhampton and Max Gate. But, the real treat after all our trips out was coming back to the fantastic panorama from Grandview. Our week went by too quickly but we hope to return soon.

Quintessential seaside holiday

A stay at Grandview in Weymouth is the perfect seaside holiday experience, especially if you have young children. Grandview is ideally situated, two minutes from the beach, and a 10 - 15 minute walk from the sandy bit, Punch and Judy, donkeys and other child-orientated entertainment. The apartment is very attractive and spacious, with more than adequate room for four adults and two children. Weymouth has a picturesque harbour, as well as the beach, with plenty of very good restaurants and cafes. There are many other attractions - Nothe Fort, Portland and Abbotsbury Swannery and petting farm, which also has a very good soft play area. The whole of this part of Dorset is packed with interesting places to visit and things to do if you want to venture out of Weymouth. I thoroughly recommend a holiday here!
