It must be all that fresh sea air, but there’s something about Weymouth that leaves us with a hankering for a plate of something special, and Al Molo’s just the place for a spot of fine dining. The home of Italian cuisine in good old Weymouth, Al Molo serves up Italian meals with a chic twist thanks to the chef Giuseppe Vannucci.
Giuseppe combines the flavours of Dorset with fine Italian ingredients to create imaginative dishes that have led to a great reputation. And then there are the views…it’s not often you get to indulge in a little fine dining with a panoramic view of Weymouth Bay and the dramatic Jurassic Coastline, and the restaurant’s position makes it all the more special.
Most of the menu’s dishes are inspired by Italy’s infamous Emilia Romagna region, and the contemporary flair behind each one means no matter how many times you visit during your stay nearby, you’ll be impressed. Make sure you take in the building during your visit too, as it started life as part of the pier’s grandstand. Today, an art deco finish gives the restaurant a glamorous feel, and that’s before you’ve even seen the menu!
