Fabulous holiday

We had a wonderful time in Lulworth at The Retreat. The house was gorgeous, had everything we needed and we felt instantly at home. Our little boy had a fabulous time too, as the cottage was geared up for children if you needed to be,but also felt like a lovely retreat for adults as well. We will be visiting The Retreat in the future, and hopefully booking again with Blue Chip for our September holiday.

The Retreat, Lulworth Cove

An absolutely beautiful cottage furnished and stocked to the very highest quality. There was everything that you could possibly need and the high standard of everything in it meant that one felt pampered and trusted! Beautiful crockery, bed linen, furnishings and décor. Although scrambling to the top of the Eiger (steep back garden) was not always easy, once there, the views were stunning and the effort of returning too soon down to the cottage, meant that more wine than was possibly healthy was consumed! Some proper steps someday would help; but thank you to the owners for allowing us to use this superb cottage. We will definitely be back again.

The Retreat West Lulworth

We have just spent 4 days at a lovely comfortable house in West Lulworth - even a power cut did not spoil our holiday. the Retreat has been beautifully decorated and is an extremely well presented property. Mel the caretaker provided us with a lovely welcome complete with Dorset apple cake and clotted cream. The property was one of the best we have stayed in and we would love to go back.

The Retreat - it certainly was!

This was a return visit to this accommodation and it was as perfect as before. This really is a top quality property with so many touches to make it even better. We would recommend it to anyone who appreciates wonderful scenery and walks. A top quality pub lies within 15 minutes' walk to make this even better! We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely wonderful place.

Aptly named Cottage in a beautiful part of the world. It came with everything you could wish for in a holiday home and more. We were lucky enough to have good weather which meant we could enjoy all that the area had to offer, yet we enjoyed the relaxation back at the cottage almost as much if not more than the sites themselves. It sounds a bit crasse, but we had such a good time over all that we are fearful that if we return in the future it wont be quite the same. It was that nice a holiday, well done the owners of THE RETREAT.

Excellent family stay

We really enjoyed our stay at The Retreat -- it is ideally located with a short walk down to the beach and longer walks to Durdle Door. The Retreat itself is amazing -- log burner was very cozy in late March and the house has everything you could ever need without being cluttered. We were surprised there were even plastic dishes and cutlery for the children and a potty too! None of us wanted to leave. A highly relaxing weekend in a wonderful, comfortable cottage.

Brilliant cottage in a fantastic location

This cottage has it all, log fire, table in the sun outside, lovely decor, great kitchen, well appointed. We really enjoyed our time here and Mel the caretaker was lovely, dropping off a Dorset apple cake and flowers just after we arrived. Everything was really comfortable, the lounge has nice sofas with throws and the bedrooms are country chic. It's a short walk down to the cove and 3 pubs nearby. Brilliant and lovely time!

The Retreat

Beautiful accommodation with extra torches to add to our enjoyment. We found the Castle Inn disappointing but the Lulworth Cove more than made up for that! We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone.

Fabulous Cottage

The Retreat was just as we expected and more. Lovely and cosy, very clean and well equipped, furnishings in the bedrooms were very pretty, bed very comfortable, in fact there was nothing to fault inside the house at all. I used the Aga all the time when we ate in, and it was easy to use. The outside space for us was disappointing, could do with some planting or hanging baskets on the wall, sun umbrella did not work, Garden difficult to climb. However despite this we would love to come back again.

Lovely cottage inside and out. We have had a good time visiting all Lulworth. Good meals and puds to die for at the "Countryman Inn" at East Knighton.

The Retreat at West Lulworth is a real gem! Beautifully decorated and situated cottage, albeit a climb up the garden! We ALL had a really lovely time. The welcome pack of goodies was a most unexpected bonus! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
