Description

Pebble Beach Cottage is a beautiful, new build, thatched cottage in the quaint village of West Lulworth.

The interior of the property is designed and furnished to incorporate its traditional features such as the thatched roof and wooden ceiling beams into the build, whilst retaining a contemporary feel.

Situated in the heart of the village, this end-of-terrace property is within a short walk of the village stores and a couple of pubs with excellent dining facilities, including the Castle Inn, a 16th century thatched tavern reputed to be one of the oldest public houses in Dorset.

Known as the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, West Lulworth is situated within a scenic 10 minute stroll of the picturesque Lulworth Cove, a sheltered, horse-shoe shaped natural harbour.

Historically, the cove was notorious as a popular landing point for Smugglers looking to land their illicit booty. Today a fleet of fishing trawlers are based in the cove as well as pleasure boats offering scenic day voyages along the coast, whilst the sheltered position makes the cove particularly popular with beachgoers looking to sunbathe and swim.

Lulworth Cove is only half a mile from Durdle Door, an iconic natural Limestone Arch which has featured in several music videos, television productions and movies such as Nanny Mcphee.

A short break in December

We were able to heat up Pebble Beach Cottage quickly on a cold day and it became a very cosy holiday. All beds and pillows were good and the layout with plenty of en suites suits a mixed family group. Good kitchen and equipment for a special occasion.

Lovely family holiday experience at Pebble Mill Cottage West Lulworth

The cottage and location were lovely. The thatched roof fitted in with the rest of the picturesque village. It was just a short stroll down to Lulworth Cove and the local shop was just around the corner. Easy to get milk, fresh bread etc daily. Each double bedroom had an ensuite shower, toilet and basin with a separate family bathroom ideal for bathing the children. There was plenty of seating in various areas of the property so the family could spread out without being on top of each other. The only downside was the mattresses on the beds being very tired and should be replaced in the not too distant future. The reason for our holiday was to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our 2 sons, their partners and 2 young grandchildren. Experience was brilliant and would not hesitate to recommend Blue Chip and this property in particular.

Pebble Beach Cottage

My extended family, 3 over 60s, two sons and daughter in laws, their children, a two and half year old, a one year old and a baby of 8 weeks, had a wonderful week in West Lulworth in Pebble Beach Cottage. The property was very well equipped and had the luxury of four bedrooms four bathrooms which was ideal for a mixed family group. The weather was amazing, and the children enjoyed the small but adequate garden. The cottage was very convenient for a short walk down to the cove and to the nearby pubs! The area has a lot to offer and we had trips to Durdle Door, Swanage, Weymouth, Kimmeridge, children themed farms, and the walking opportunities were endless. All in all a very good holiday!

Pebble Beach Cottage

We enjoyed a family holiday at Pebble Beach Cottage in West Lulworth with our two children, grandparents and aunt and uncle. The cottage was fantastic for us as a family as it was well equipped and there was plenty of space for a large group. Our four year old loved his bedroom and the garden! The location was perfect to visit local places like Corfe Castle, Poole and Weymouth. It was also great to be able to walk down to Lulworth Cove, which only took about 5 minutes. There were also many places to eat out and pubs nearby. Overall a great holiday location and cottage, we would love to come back again.

Pebble Beach Cottage

We spent a week in May at Pebble Beach Cottage, Lulworth. The cottage was perfectly located to walk to the beach and the surrounding hills of Lulworth Cove. Pebble Beach Cottage was as it was described in all the information, beautifully decorated and furnished. Although it has bedrooms for eight people there is a sofa bed in the conservatory so it can sleep 10 but the seating in the kitchen is only for six people and was a little 'cozy'! We had a lovely meal at Bishops Restaurant and a pub within walking distance what could be better.

Pebble Beach Cottage

We were in the area for my daughter's wedding at Lulworth Castle and had a family gathering over Christmas. The cottage was ideal for our needs. With varying numbers of guests up to 10, we were still never short of room and the kitchen and utensils fully met our needs. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage and the modern equipment. The free telephone and wireless internet were very welcome, particularly because of the poor mobile reception in the area. There were even hairdryers supplied in bedrooms. The list of positives is endless and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and we would definitely book it again if we are going to the area.

Weekend away at Pebble Beach Cottage

Arrived in afternoon, heating was on and cottage was very cosy. The cottage is beautiful and well decorated everything about it was just great. We managed to park two cars in the drive way which was a bonus. Well equipped throughout, plenty of everything apart from toilet roll which was an over site I'm sure. The village is pretty and did the climb from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door, BEAUTIFUL!!! Close to lots of places so plenty to do for a long weekend. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a pretty place to stay.

Great break

Stayed at Pebble Beach Cottage in West Lulworth the beginning of October. The good stuff Brilliant location and fully kitted cottage. Kitchen was great, lots of space in the cottage with an extra add-on of the extension. Very warm and cosy, beds comfortable and everywhere spotless. Had read on reports about the drive being small - we managed to get an Audi Quattro and a Ford Focus in with very careful parking, so it is possible. Londis shop just around the corner had everything we needed and, weirdly, some of the items for sale were cheaper than our local Sainsbury's. Lovely walks into Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Dinner at the Limestone Hotel on Saturday was so good, we booked again for our last night. Added advantage of being opposite the front door is another bonus. The bad stuff (very minor!) Had problems finding the cottage, mainly due to no Vodafone signal at all in the area, so no sat-nav. We booked the 4 bed 4 bathroom cottage as the group consisted of use plus 3 adult children. Disappointed that the shower in the main bedroom was not working and that there was no shower over the bath in the family bathroom.

Pebble Beach Cottage, Lulworth

The holiday was a joy from start to finish. The booking was easy and the website was very user friendly. We have all the information given to us from the start. The actual house we stayed in was better than we expected. Everything down to the minor detail was a excellent standard. We loved that you could take dogs to this house as well, though on this occasion we decided to not take them as we had two small babies. We would definitely recommend this house and go back with out doglets. You will not regret booking this house. The location is perfect. We are looking for dates for next year already.
