Fantastic holiday home. Everything you needed was there. You did not want for anything. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was great. Well presented to anyone who likes home comforts, COULD NOT FIND ONE FAULT. Thank you to the Moon family and Blue Chip, for making our holiday very special. Cheers.

Lovely cottage with excellent walks nearby, especially the Osmington Mills to Sutton Poyntz trail. The views are amazing! The cottage was lovely to come back to after a long walk exploring Dorset. Would highly recommend to people. Thanks for a lovely week.

Painters Cottage

The owners of Painters Cottage have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay a real home from home, even adding that personal touch. It is so quiet and comfortable with everything you could want for your stay there and the local pub is just a few minutes walk. The food and service at the Springhead is very good and all set in a very pretty and quiet village. The coast is just a short drive or for keen walkers easily accessible with numerous footpaths.

Painters Cottage

This is an excellent little cottage, in a beautiful village setting. The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable to stay in. The location is perfect for walking right from the door and only a short drive away from all the activities that this part of Dorset has to offer.

Painter's Cottage, Sutton Poyntz, Weymouth, Dorset.

Painter's Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard, with very good facilities. It is in a very pleasant village with 2 pubs and 2 fish & chip shops nearby. Buses run hourly to Weymouth. We were very satisfied with Painter's Cottage and would recommend it to anyone.

Home from home

As said this cottage is home from home very comfortable, all mod cons and spotlessly clean, the only drawback for us was the internet signal and the Freeview TV limited programs, the internet was not available after 5pm every evening, and the Freeview channels weren't enough for us. The area is beautiful and the village of Sutton Pointz charming. All in all a very enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend and return.

Delightful in Dorset!

The booking process was simple! Paying via the internet was efficient and safe! The directions to the area were easy to follow and concise! The holiday experience was totally awesome! We travelled from Cornwall and met up with our Sister and Brother-in-law who'd travelled from Yorkshire. The property exceeded our expectations although very accurately described in the advertising on the internet. Spotlessly clean, with every possible comfort provided! A fantastic base from which to enjoy our exploration of the Weymouth and surrounding area of Dorset. Cannot think of anything that was lacking or any criticism of the accommodation whatsoever! Even a welcome pack and note from the owners when we arrived, wishing us a great holiday. This it was!...Would we recommend Blue Chip Holidays and Painters Cottage to our friends and family? You bet we would, without hesitation! Thank you for ensuring our stay would be memorable and comfortable but also for going that bit further to make the experience Extra special!

Painters Cottage Review

Painters Cottage offered a good, well designed accommodation for 2 couples. We have spent an annual holiday together for many years and have shared holiday properties both here and abroad, so its true to say we have some experience of renting holiday cottages & villa's. We are happy to recommend this property. We were fortunate that the weather was excellent so had a slight regret that we didn't have a garden to relax in, but staying in Sutton Poyntz was a real bonus, being able to stroll around the beautiful village and and eating out at good local pubs. Weymouth is within easy reach to drive or take the local bus. We did have a problem with the window pole/opener but this was dealt with quickly & efficiently by the Blue Chip office.

A beautiful holiday experience

Booked this holiday in Painters Cottage as we love Dorset and we wanted to be near the sea but in a peaceful location and we couldn't have picked a better place than Painters cottage. The cottage itself was absolutely lovely very clean and spacious with everything you needed from snow white bed linen to soft white towels washing machine, dishwasher, hair dryer iron etc.The walks about the village were great and the pub nearby offered some very tasty and well cooked food and a bit further on was a fish and chip shop and another pub that seemed to be well favoured for the meals that it served. We have never used Blue Chip holidays before but will definitely use them again as the booking went so smoothly we got all information on time also got good directions to holiday cottage ,good thing as we do not have sat nav, every thing was as described on web site so could have not asked for more ,we had a very enjoyable holiday with no stress ,cannot wait for our next one.

Lovely little place

My boyfriend and I stayed at Painter's Cottage for a week, the directions to find the property are clear and easy to understand. The property itself is lovely,it has a very effective oven that is absolutely pristine, a microwave, toaster and kettle, and all the kitchen utensils you need. The water pressure is excellent, so you can have some lovely showers to leave you feeling refreshed after a hard day sightseeing. The house is only a few minutes drive from Weymouth beach, a cinema, supermarket and aquarium. You can go for a walk to see some sheep and cows, and then look up to see the big chalk horse, this only takes about 10 minutes to walk to from the house, but wear wellies if it's rained! Overall this house was beautifully presented and in a lovely rural location, but with lots of local amenities and activities. Well worth a visit!

Painters Cottage

A tranquil location and a well-equipped, comfortable cottage. We all slept well - very comfortable beds in quiet bedrooms. Only one real problem - the holiday was too short. Thank you for your warm welcome, advice and help.

Painters Cottage, Sutton Poyntz, Dorset

Another great week long break booked through Blue Chip Holidays. Great property - only mild gripe was that the wifi didn't work (I'm self employed, would have been handy) - located in a beautiful quiet village. We benefited from a week of pretty much unbroken sunshine. Great beaches at Lulworth, Durdle Door, Ringstead, West Bay, Studland, Shell Bay, Kimmeridge and obviously numerous places along Chesil Beach! Portland (Portland Bill in particular) and Bridport are also great places to visit… The coastal path in this area offers great walks or runs… And breathtaking coastal views. The roads offer the same for cyclists - although be prepared to get out of the saddle as there are some fairly challenging climbs! And at the end of a day sightseeing, swimming and walking, there’s nowhere better to eat than at the Springhead in the village a few hundred yards away! We don’t normally tend to return to the same holiday destination, but we may well do this time!

Painters Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Dorset coastal area. The cottage is attractive, well equipped and spotlessly clean and situated in an attractive village on the edge of Weymouth. In summary, excellent.

Painters Cottage

Had a fantastic week! Weather was glorious, even rainy Friday morning turned into hot and sunny afternoon. Painters Cottage was perfect, well equipped and comfortable. We'd like to move in! Enjoyed a hard but worth it walk up to the White Horse and then lunch and drink at Springhead pub after. Lovely location - sad to go home.

Painters Cottage

We could not have wished for a better place to stay; Painters Cottage is lovely and is located in a beautiful village. We enjoyed an evening drink at the Springhead pub, just 5 minutes walk, most evenings after our days out and about. We have had a great holiday and would definitely return to Painters Cottage in the future. Thank you.

We have had a lovely stay at Painters Cottage. We have visited lots of places in Dorset, it is a beautiful area with so much to do and see. The cottage is a comfortable and relaxing place to return to after busy days out. The village setting is very peaceful and there are some very good pubs around the area. We have had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed our stay at Painters Cottage. Thank you very much.
