Great Accommodation

The house was in a perfect location a 2 minute walk from the sea and 10 minute drive into Weymouth. The house itself can be a little cold downstairs however, the character of the property more than makes up for this and in the evenings the Log burner is a massive asset. All in all we would return and use this location again

Elizabethan House

The house was fantastic. It was very clean and spacious. The under floor heating was wonderful. The swimming pool was brilliant where we all enjoyed having lots of fun together. It was so warm. The hot tub was relaxing at the end of the day. We had a great time.

Elizabethan House

We stayed in Elizabethan House for 3 nights in March with 2 couple and 3 children (4-10yrs). The property is old with loads of charm and very well equipped with quality items (kitchen utensils, dishwasher, TV, DVD, etc) and tastefully furnished. The house is next to a reasonable busy road, but this didn't cause any issues. You can easily access the coastal path and Chesil Beach and the house has good access to the bus network or could easily be used as a base to explore the local area. In sum, a very pleasant break in a tasteful and well equipped house.

Elizabethan House

We have recently enjoyed a holiday in Portland near Weymouth, Dorset, - Elizabethan House. It was a lovely property to stay in, clean and comfortable and the owners were most welcoming. From the time of booking with Blue Chip Holidays until leaving for our trip home, the whole experience has been excellent.

Lovely house in an amazing location. We were very lucky to stay here on a weekend when the weather was perfect and it really showed the location at its best. The house is an excellent base for discovering Portland and it is a stunning old house with modern touches. The large lounge diner is lovely for relaxing in and due to the property's very thick stone walls and shutters on the windows we particularly looked forward to returning to the coolness of this room after being out in the bright sunshine all day. We all agreed that we would love to return.

A wonderful experience

Elizabethan House has everything you could wish for location, history, well equipped less than 100 yards from Chesil beach. The owners were very helpful with the information they provided. My family and I would go there again as the area has something for everyone.

Excellent holiday home

We recently stayed here while our kids were competing in a sailing competition at the sailing academy. The house is in an excellent location in Portsmouth and close to everything. There's lots of space to accommodate kids and adults - a good sized kitchen, dining area and TV area. There's also a cute TV area outside one of the bedrooms - and the kids regularly retreated there to play games and hang out away from the parents. The owners are very friendly and were in contact to make sure that we had everything for our stay. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to other people.

Nice place but....

Elizabethan House is a lovely property and we did enjoy our stay however the house downstairs was absolutely freezing and no amount of heating made it any warmer!! The property is not as nice as the photographed pictures unfortunately.

Elizabethan house

We have just returned from a short break where we stayed at this property. It is a beautiful house well equipped and in an excellent location for access to the beach . The property was warm with a wonderful log fire, bedrooms were spacious and a super den upstairs for the family to hang out. The kitchen had everything we needed and equipped to a high standard . Overall this was a great property and enabled us to have a very relaxing stay .
