Splashdown Waterpark is all about getting wet, speeding down water slides and lolling on inflatable rings – and the whole family will have fun whatever the weather. There’s a ride or slide for all ages and the outdoor flumes are open throughout spring and summer. Those who love thrills and spills can try the Screamer with its daring vertical drop, the laidback visitors can sit back and enjoy the ride on the Red River Roller and the not-so-sure can try the Starter Flume or enjoy the attractions on dry land.
Our personal favourite is Spacebowl, because there aren’t many days out that let us be plummeted down a water slide like a human pinball! Splashdown is one of the leading days out during a holiday in Poole, and you’ll hear the excited screams long before you reach the entrance. There’s a shallow pool for small children to enjoy the water too, and if you like your own space in the pool you’ll be pleased to know that visitor numbers are monitored to make sure the park doesn’t get too crowded even on the hottest days of summer.
Book online before you go and skip the queue on the day so you can take the plunge as soon as you get there. Make sure you don’t forget your swimming costume, towels and sun cream.
