Sandbanks Beach isn’t only hailed as the best beach in Poole and Sandbanks, many say it’s the best in Britain. This is the kind of beach where the rich and famous land their yachts and take some time out to enjoy the sand and the amenities, so there’s a glamorous feel to the area.
If you take your beach days seriously, grab your designer shades and sprawl on Sandbanks Beach amidst the rich and famous. With golden sands, safe waters and plenty going on, Sandbanks Beach is THE place to be seen.
The beach has held a Blue Flag for more than twenty years and its safe, clean waters make it popular for bathing as well as water sports. The fine sand makes it a nice spot for those with children and there are lifeguards on duty throughout May and September.
The car park closest to the beach has plenty of space but the charges can be fairly high (but you will be close to the sand if you’ve got lots to carry). We mentioned water sports earlier and if you’re wondering which ones you can indulge in during your day beside the jet set you’ll find jet ski hire and power boat trips available from Sandbanks.
