If you’re an avid fan of Broadchurch then this stretch of Dorset’s unique coastline will be a familiar sight indeed, East Cliff Beach provides the backdrop to many of the hit drama’s scenes.
Whilst East Cliff Beach may have been the scene of some tense moments in Broadchurch, we can assure you that if you visit during a stay in the area you’ll find a picturesque stretch of coastline for a walk and a popular spot with families on warm summer days.
The beach is ridged, and has fine shingle that turns into sand closer to the water. There’s lifeguard cover by the RNLI throughout the summer holidays at nearby East Beach so if you want to bathe then head down towards it as it doesn’t cover East Cliff.
Dogs are welcome along East Cliff beach throughout the year, so if you want to enjoy the famous scenery with a walk up and down then you’ll be able to do it with your pet in tow.
