The Blue Pool has drawn curious visitors in their hundreds since its discovery in 1935, as its waters are forever changing colour! The pool has got to be one of the most peaceful Dorset attractions and if you can take a few hours out to walk one of the paths around it you’ll enjoy some time out in a unique setting. Surrounded by green woodland and bowing trees, the waters can look completely different from one day to the next, and they’re ideal for that perfect holiday photo.
The suspension of very fine clay beneath the pool’s water produces a spectrum of different colours, painting the pool anything from blue to green to turquoise day by day. The pool is open to the public between 1 March and 30 November.
