Dog Friendly Bournemouth AttractionsOwners who discover this dog friendly Bournemouth attraction always feel that they’ve struck gold, as it’s perfect for dogs AND a must-see for us two-legged folk! The Blue Pool in Wareham delights visitors with its constantly-changing colour. You may be greeted by a shimmering pool or turquoise, a deep blue or mysterious green...it depends on the day and the time. Highcliffe Castle also welcomes dogs along, but they must remain in the grounds on leads.

Dog Friendly Bournemouth WalksMore good news, Bournemouth was awarded 10 Green Flags in recognition of its 2000 acres of parks and walks – making it the perfect playground for you and your pet. Whether you enjoy sunning yourselves in the parks during the summer, or kicking up the leaves as you walk out of season, you’ll have the run of dozens of pretty parks and gardens together. Bournemouth is a regular winner of the Britain in Bloom Award, so not only are there plenty of open spaces to roam but they’re also bursting with colour during summer. |
Dog Friendly Bournemouth PubsWith all those stretches of sand and award-winning walks for owners and pets to enjoy, it’s only fair that we point you in the right direction for a dog friendly pub or two to relax in afterwards! There are too many to fit in this page, but to get you started we’d recommend The Nelson in Christchurch, and Ye Old George Inn and The Goat and Tricycle in Bournemouth. The Nelson Tavern offers a gorgeous south facing garden with plenty of seating, and its winning menu makes it a great place to relax on a sunny day. |

Dog Friendly Bournemouth BeachesThose planning dog friendly Bournemouth holidays during the summer will need to check out the pet friendly stretches of beach, as most of the beaches enforce seasonal dog bans between Easter and October. Although you’ll need to stick to the following areas, they include some of the city’s most stunning stretches of sand. Dogs are allowed to the west of Durley Chine all year round, and east of Fisherman’s Walk all the way up to Hengistbury Head. In Christchurch, dogs are allowed between the wave wall at the end of Friars Cliff Beach and Groyne H8 at Highcliffe Crow’s Nest. Durley Chine is a Blue Flag beach with beautiful scenery so it’s a great spot for a stroll with your dog. For dog-friendly holiday cottages click the orange button below.
