Barricane Beach

Barricane Beach

Things To Do

For an extra special beach in Woolacombe, the small Barricane Beach may not have the lure of the main one but remains almost as popular. The beach’s Caribbean-inspired name may seem strange, but you’ll soon notice the many shells that are washed onto the inlet straight from a Caribbean Island through the Gulf Stream.

Shell hunters will be delighted with the dozens of beautiful shells, and they have earned the beach designation as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Barricane Beach is a great spot for some good old fashioned rock pooling and its sand is perfect for those who prefer a quiet snooze in the sun.
