Westward Ho! beach has the feel of a traditional English beach, especially as it's lined with rows of brightly coloured beach huts, and makes for a cheery sight. The beach is a two mile long stretch of sand with a unique pebble ridge and excellent facilities.
Northam Burrows Country Park lies just behind the ridge, and the facilities for families enjoying Westward Ho! beach holidays include deckchair hire, toilets, a cafe, a lifeguard, first aid service and a lost child centre too.
The beach is easily accessed by wheelchair users, and the car park is nearby. Westward Ho! beach is not as popular with the surfing community as some of the others in the area, but it can offer good waves on certain days, especially for beginners. Please note that there is a seasonal dog ban at Westard Ho! beach.
