There’s only one thing we love more than a country pub, and that’s a country pub with a story behind it. The story of The Pig on the Hill started many years ago when the hill was home to a dairy farm. One of the resident pigs used to wander the countryside, and when the farmer started to convert the farm into a friendly pub he decided to name it in honour of the Vietnamese pot belly.
Anyway, these days the pub is one of Westward Ho!’s most popular, and it serves up traditional meals in the friendly atmosphere of a good old fashioned country pub. The menu includes all the dishes we know and love served with a little flair to keep things interesting, and as all dishes are made to order you can expect a relaxing visit and a plate of something hearty. If you like to sample the local produce during a stay somewhere new then you’re in luck, the menu’s created using the finest ingredients the local area has to offer.
