Great accomodation

We have enjoyed our stay a lot. The Sheep Pen is great accomodation, very clean, thoughtfully equipped, cosy and modern. We got much more than expected and we always looked forward to being 'home' after long day trips. Perfectly located to visit all the beautiful spots like Exmoor, Dartmoor or the Western beaches.

What a wonderful place

What a wonderful place. The accommodation was perfect, the hosts were welcoming and the location was peaceful and relaxing. With modern life as it is we don't have much quality family time together so this was perfect. Thank you so much.

Beautiful cottage with lovely personal touches. The owner Annie instantly made us feel welcome. Quiet and peaceful and Alfie our dog loved walking around the orchard. It was very much the relax and recharge time we all needed. We are already looking forward to coming.

A wonderful place to stay

We stayed here for a week during the October half term and had a wonderful time. The owners kindly left a welcome pack that even included some biscuits for our dogs! The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfy. The kitchen has everything you want if you decide to cook and the helpful folder details lots of local eateries if you don't! (I can recommend The New Inn at Roborough) There is a small enclosed garden that is secure for dogs and children and a lovely wild garden to walk to through the farm yard. It was a short drive to lots of wide sandy beaches. Our dogs particularly loved Northam Burrows country park and the beach at Instow. We would definitely return to The Sheep Pen

Peaceful retreat

We only had one nice day of weather during our stay which we made good use of and went to the lovely town of Lynmouth. Other than that we stayed in the Sheeps Pen and made use of the peace and quiet. Very lazy days which we thoroughly enjoyed in this beautiful place. A well equipped kitchen that enabled us to make some lovely meals. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Hideaway

The Sheep Pen is beautifully furnished, and the owner very friendly and welcoming. Great place for getting away from it all and just spending time in the peace and quiet. Great for dog walkers - our dog loved the surrounding woods. Highly recommended.

The perfect cottage for two - plus dog if you have one!

This is the second holiday we have had in Sheep Pen and we have enjoyed both holidays. The cottage is of a very high standard with wonderful decorations and good furnishings. The bathroom and kitchen are excellent and the heating works well - great when you stay in cold weather! The owners are friendly and they leave a wonderful welcome basket which is much appreciated. We look forward to our next holiday here.

Simply the best

Having never stayed in a holiday cottage, we were very excited by the photographs and reviews for our cottage. On arrival it was even more of a wonderful surprise, the property is beautiful, warm and very homely. Anna left us a wonderful welcome basket, homemade biscuits, eggs, butter etc. She and her husband were very friendly, perfect hosts. We highly recommend this cottage, we'll definitely be back soon. We've already booked our next cottage with Blue Chip holidays.

The Sheep Pen

We had a lovely stay at the Sheep Pen. Annie and Ian are the owners and Annie according to Ian the inspiration to the accommodation. What we were pleased with in particular was that when we have hired cottages before there are always things that you forget to bring (dishwasher powder, washing up liquid etc.) well not to worry here as Annie has thought of everything to make your stay a comfortable and practical one, she even put a jar with dog biscuits in the cupboard, and poop bags! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, the farm is a delight and Ian took ourselves and our two dogs for a walk around the fields, not sure my dogs particularly liked the sheep but it was perfectly safe to walk near them. The Sheep pen is very comfortable and the interior has been designed with excellent taste. I would not hesitate to recommend the Sheep Pen.

A delightful country cottage made for teo

We really appreciated the care and trouble Annie goes to in making us welcome. She has a sure touch for design and making the cottage a homely and comfortable home from home. We appreciated the numerous small touches such as chocolates and goodies on arrival for us and the dog. We recommend this peaceful cottage location and the delightful hosts. It makes a great base for exploring Northern Devon.

The Sheep Pen

I was slightly nervous when I called to advise on arrival time, as the owners hadn't been told by Blue Chip that we had booked. However, Annie assured me everything would be ready for our arrival and it was. The Sheep Pen is a lovely property and our 2 beagles joined us in feeling very welcome and at home. Ian & Annie had thought of pretty much everything for a lovely stay. There was a lovely welcome pack of milk and fresh eggs, a bottle of cider, cereal and biscuits for us and the dogs. There were lots of DVDs and books and a chest full of games and cards etc. The surroundings were lovely and peaceful too. The accomdation is finished to a very high spec and maintained so too. I would thoroughly recommend The Sheep Pen. Ian & Annie were excellent hosts. Thank you.
