Vernon Court

This was as advertised and more so. My wife and I have never seen so much wardrobe and storage space in bedrooms. One of our party was to be found at every opportunity sitting in an armchair by the window enjoying the view. We found all that we required in the kitchen and throughout the apartment. The only small problem was parking on the road, as sometimes we had to drive around the block 2 or 3 times before a space could be found. All in all this was a small price to pay for an excellent stay'

Vernon Court

A few days before our arrival we were contacted with excellent instruction on the location of the key. Previous to taking our holiday we purchased a car parking ticket for the Torbay council car parks which we found invaluable saved money and a lot of time looking for change. The property was well equipped, clean and had fantastic views, plenty of cupboard space, a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy. Torbay has some great places to visit Brixham, Cockington, Paignton to name a few. It is the first time we have used Blue Chip and we will definitely use them in the future.

Vernon Court

We booked a last minute holiday with Blue Chip and they could not have been more helpful and professional. They explained everything from arriving to parking and what the area was like, excellent service.

Lovely Flat with Fantastic Views

On arriving at No. 8 Vernon Court we were taken aback by the entrance. A rusting gate followed by a very depressing flight of steps down to the front door which is shared with another flat. The very grubby-looking red-painted steps and cream-painted walls had more than their fair share of dirt and cob-webs making us wonder if we were about to find out we had made a big mistake booking this place. Entering the front door, there was a very musty smell in the gloomy shared entrance hall. Once inside our own front door however, the feeling changed completely. A further hall-way, with a built-in cupboard containing a washing machine and tumble-drier, led into a very well-equipped kitchen, conveniently laid out with masses of drawer and cupboard space, a fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave oven and dish-washer. The drawers contained ample supplies of cutlery, etc. The cupboards contained plenty of glassware, china and cleaning products. A window overlooked the lounge/dining room giving views through to the outer windows and beyond. A door led from the kitchen to the lounge/dining room which again, was well equipped with DVDs, CDs, books, TV, leather sofa and chair, dining-table and chairs. The crowning glory was the stunning view through the windows over the bay towards Paignton, Brixham and Berry Head. The bedrooms were also well-served with built-in furniture. The double bedroom had an en-suite bathroom. The twin bedroom had a bathroom next to the bedroom. One criticism was the broken vertical blind in the twin bedroom but didn't really affect us as we used the double. Anyone using this flat should be aware of the position in relation to the sea-front and town. It is at the top of the cliff overlooking the sea front which can be reached on foot by walking back to Shedden Hill. That route can also be used to get to the town but a shorter route is via a series of 200+ steps down to the harbour! On arrival we thought that the on-street car-parking might be a problem but each time we went out we were able to park within no more than 25 yards when we returned. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this flat and the few problems mentioned above were small compared to the pleasure we had during our stay.

Vernon Court

Had a fantastic holiday at Vernon Court in Torquay, booking with Blue Chip holidays made it easy and we would definitely use them again. Once inside the apartment was wonderful and the views were amazing, we would definitely book the apartment again when staying at Torquay.

Vernon Court

My wife and I and our two boys aged 8 and 4 have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Vernon Court in Torquay. Our accommodation was nothing short of fabulous value for money and we can find no complaints whatsoever. The apartment was very spacious, spotlessly clean and was very well equipped in all areas. The views from the living area were nothing short of breathtaking and all amenities including the all important beach were within easy walking distance. While there we decided to stay for another week at the Vernon Court but were unable to do so due prior bookings. When looking at alternate accommodation which was more expensive and inferior quality it re emphasized what a fabulous place and deal we got.

Wonderful Torquay

We (my husband and my son) had a really good time in Torquay and everyone was very friendly to us. The view from our apartment was wonderful and the sun shined every day.

Vernon Court

Wow, amazing were our first words on entering our accommodation. The apartment was warm, spotlessly clean & all furnishing, fixtures & fittings were of the highest standard & of course the panoramic view, wonderful!!! We had a lovely week, blessed by sunny, warm weather & visited lots of places in & around Torquay. We had the added bonus of meeting the owner of the apartment who called personally to rectify a small problem what a nice chap & really cares about his clients. We would like to thank all concerned for making our holiday so special & memorable.

Another fantastic holiday! This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment. So conveniently located for the beach and town. Perfect with two young children. The views are fantastic. Spent the evenings just watching the tides change.

Lovely views from apartment, Internet photos are genuine and it is as good as it looks, comfortable beds and plenty of towels, loads of storage space and great to have two bathrooms with a teenage daughter. We would definitely come back loved looking out at the views every day.

Vernon Court

We stayed in the property in March. The location was absolutely amazing with a great sea view. The flat itself well laid out and very clean. It could do with more plates and cutlery and an internet connection would have been great.

Vernon Court

Fantastic apartment overlooking the bay with all mod cons, comfortable, smart and clean within 10 mins walk of nightlife, harbour, shops, etc. Perfect spot with great views no matter the weather. 10 out of 10. If you're planning on discovering Torquay and the English Riviera and you want to do it in style, then this is the place to stay.

Had a great holiday staying here

We arrived and were able to get in straight away. The on street parking was no problem even during peak times. The views are brilliant and you can watch the sand man create his masterpieces in the sand every day. There is plenty to watch through the windows, yet no one walks past your window as you are on the cliff side. The apartment is very clean. We really loved the place and I would definitely go back to this property as it’s really great. Just wish I had longer to explore the area as there is so much to do and not enough time.

Amazing views and spacious property

Loved Vernon Court from the minute we walked through the door. The views are super across the bay. Able to watch the world go by. Very well equipped too. Plenty of exercise walking up and down to town There is no wifi but that didn't really effect us. We found the double bed mattress too soft but guess that's a personal choice. Highly recommend overall!

Conference stay at Vernon Court in May 2015

Although slightly tricky to locate without a postcode and potentially challenging to park nearby, the apartment was wonderfully appointed with a spectacular view of the coastline! Being conference geeks we missed wifi ( & sky channels too!) and would have liked a few complimentary dishwasher tablets too! Perhaps a mini welcome pack with a small milk carton along with other essentials is worth considering? It was difficult to turn the heating down and we had to leave the front door(s) open to generate a breeze. Sadly our mini break required three nights which meant our budget would have stretched even further if we had been able to book two night. VC is ideally located for the International Riviera Conference Centre although the walk back uphill can test those coronaries!
