The Manor House
Life at The Manor House is all about unwinding in style…from the moment the gothic architecture of this 19th century manor house comes into view you’ll be planning your holiday as lord and lady of the manor.
Home to our collection of four beautiful properties, The Manor House has the kind of entrance hall and staircase that’ll stop you in your tracks as you step inside, as well as an indoor pool, and rolling gardens complete with fluttering palms and views out to sea.
Set in the sleepy area of Cockington, The Manor House is a stroll away from Torre Abbey Sands - one of Torquay’s best-loved sandy beaches in one direction, as well as the historic Cockington Country Park in the other. For those days that are about exploring the bay, you can hop aboard a ferry to the fishing town of Brixham, and the South West Coast Path curves gently around the town’s coastline.
There’s only one thing that can round a day in Torquay off perfectly, and that’s a refreshing dip in the pool and some time in the sauna. The indoor pool at The Manor House welcomes all guests, so you’ll be free to sink into the water and forget the world with a few lengths of the pool at your leisure.
And, if you’re taking the kids, there’s plenty of space to enjoy the pool as a family and that means you can keep them entertained for hours without even leaving the resort…hurray.
Breaks at The Manor House are all about lazing on the lawn and lying back on your private patios. Every property in this collection has its own furnished patio, so you’ll never be more than a step away from an al fresco meal or some time out enjoying the peace and quiet and the sea breeze.
The grounds are also home to sprawling communal gardens that feel as though they go on forever. With panoramic views out to sea and fluttering palms to remind you that you’re on the English Riviera, the gardens make an idyllic spot to soak up the sun, sip on something cool and just enjoy Torbay’s microclimate.
The Manor House may be within walking distance from some of Torquay’s much-loved attractions (did someone say sandy beach?), but the great thing about this one is that it’s also got the kinds of facilities that mean you don’t have to venture far to have a time to remember.
For one thing, there’s the swimming pool and sauna for chill out time, and the games room’s perfect for older kids. And, if you feel like burning off some of those cream teas you’re guaranteed to indulge in during your stay, you’ll be able to work out in the onsite fitness centre. See what we mean when we say they’ve thought of everything?
