Description

The Coach House is in the grounds of Protea; a stunning Victorian villa. Step from the front door into the living room and you are walking through the arch where the coach was once driven. It has original wooden beams and windows and a lot of character, but has been modernised and tastefully decorated to make the best of all the original features.

The property is in the quiet, leafy area of Chelston, with the seafront being a 10 minute walk away. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the water's edge round to Torre Abbey Sands and the harbour.

The Coach House, Torquay

We found the facilities excellent and the apartment very clean, Mr & Mrs Oliver were very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Location was very good but as we are over 70, we would have been more comfortable closer to the bus route. The shower over the bath was the best we have seen for a long time, we would certainly stay there again.

The Coach House, Protea Estate, Torquay

Just had a relaxing few days at the Coach House - a lovely and well equipped cottage on a stunning estate. Shame the weather didn't allow us to use the balcony, especially as the views over Torquay are lovely from there but we nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The cottage had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean with plenty of fluffy towels and even a bottle of wine on the table for our arrival. Highly recommended - I would hope to visit again.

The Coach House

We booked our holiday to the Coach House at the last minute. On arrival at the property we were really pleased with what we saw. The property was well equipped and was set in a beautiful location with views over Torquay. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver who owned the property were really nice and made us feel very welcome.Whilst we were in Torquay we did a lot of walking and rarely used the car. We found there was enough for us to see and do in the location without having to use the car.We took the ferry from the harbour in Torquay both to Brixham and Dartmouth. Both days out were thoroughly enjoyable. We walked along the coastal path to Babbacombe. Although this was quite tiring as there were so many steps it was well worth the effort. We walked in to Paighton and spent the day wandering along the prom and down to the harbour. We could recommend Cockington Country Park which was really close to where we were staying. It was such a beautiful place with lots to see around the grounds. Another good thing was that it was free to walk around the park. The Drum which is the pub in the country park grounds was a really good place to eat - we had several really nice meals there. All in all it was a really good holiday and we have lots of happy memories.

The Coach House

A bit of a hill to get to the apartment but apart from that, just great. Will go back.
