Description

Decorated throughout in a nautical style to enhance its sea views, Sea Salt Lodge sits high up on the site of the former Waldon Castle and yet is within easy walking distance of the seafront, town and harbour. You may even notice part of a former wall and turret of the Castle when you sit in the garden.

The wonderful living room on the first floor is filled with natural light from the patio doors that lead out onto your balcony looks over Torquay to the sea and Marina giving you an inviting living area to relax in either indoors or out.

Three bedrooms continue the nautical theme, the large double bedroom on the ground floor has its own conservatory which leads to a delightful outside space with a summer house and two garden loungers. Next to the double bedroom is a four poster room with views over Torquay town centre. The third bedroom is a twin bedded room on the first floor which has a spectacular elevated view over Torquay town centre and beyond, next to this bedroom is a newly installed bright shower room.

To the side of the house with a separate entrance is your own games room with a scaled down pool table and Dartboard (remember to bring your darts!) and you can even play your music via Bluetooth on the speaker style juke box or just chill out in front of the TV.

If the inside isn’t enough the garden is a real suntrap and wraps around the house offering you a choice of sitting areas including a large decked area with its own thatched beach retreat on it, an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the sea views.

Sea Salt Lodge is close to many local attractions like Living Coasts, Torre Abbey Sands and the Harbour, of course if you want to venture further afield, other attractions like Paignton Zoo, Dartmouth and Dartmoor are only a short drive away.

Great stay at your lovely property

Great stay at your lovely property. Beautifully decorated. Loved the arrangement of the outside seating areas. Lovely welcome package. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. We would definitely return. Had nice meals at Amici and Le Bistrot Pierre, and the fish and chips at Simply Fish in Brixham were lovely. The beach hut and games room were a real bonus!

Sea Salt Lodge - A week of brilliant memories!!

Two parents, two adult offspring. Plenty of comfortable rooms for us to all to have our own space. Very large lounge for us to be together with views from balcony over the bay. Outside secluded areas where we had barbecues and lazed around on provided loungers. Very welcoming owners into their truly amazing house. Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Altogether a fantastic week. Will definitely be going back!

Sea Salt Lodge

A fabulous property with fabulous views. Myself, my partner, 2 children & my parents spent a wonderful week at this property. There was plenty of space for us all and there was absolutely nothing we needed that wasn't provided. The games room was a great addition for the kids and the balcony was a lovely spot for the early risers to sit and admire the views. The outside space was very well thought out and parking for 2 cars a great bonus. My parents thought the walk back from town or the harbour a little too much but they are 70! The photos on the website are absolutely what you get in real life. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and I'd have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

Excellent Holiday

Everything about this holiday was excellent from booking to the end of holiday. The property was amazing everything that we needed was there and the owner could not do enough for us. She was only on the other end of phone if we needed anything. She even suggested we ordered our shopping online for when we got there, it was an excellent suggestion it worked out perfectly and saved our time. She gave us information on the area and was very informative on places to visit. The property was well decorated and very light and inviting. The fixtures and fitting are beautiful and of a high standard.
