Description

With a striking setting in an exclusive area of Torquay, Paddock House is the perfect home from home for a gathering with friends or family and combines peace, tranquility and easy access to the town centre. A detached house with its own large driveway, Paddock House is a warm, welcoming retreat for a relaxing holiday.

Paddock House sleeps eight, and thanks to its spacious layout it’s the kind of property where you can enjoy time as part of a group yet still have your own space to unwind. Speaking of unwinding, the living space has two sofas and an open fire, so when you’re ready to curl up in front of a film for the evening there’s room for the whole group.

The door from the living space out to the garden means that those warm summer days we all know and love Torquay for can be spent out on the lawn, and as the property welcomes dogs they can step outside to explore.

The master bedroom has a king size bed that’ll make it difficult to get up in the morning (even with the sea views to tempt you), and as three of the bedrooms have balcony access you’re never more than a moment away from a few minutes with the view and the sea breeze.

The South West Coastal Path passes just a couple of minutes' walk from the front door, and the Living Coasts aquarium and coastal zoo is a short walk down the road.

With its mild climate and fluttering palms, Torquay feels a world away from daily life, and you’ll be within easy reach of beaches and coves such as Meadfoot and Abbey Sands, along with many other family attractions and some of the area’s finest restaurants.

Home from Home

The house was fabulous, very light, spacious and airy with everything you could possible want to make a real home from home providing all the comforts you could ask for in a very private location. Close enough to town to enjoy town facilities but without being in the hustle and bustle. The distant sea views from every bedroom made it even more enjoyable without being overlooked by anyone and helped to make it feel an extremely quiet and restful place to stay. Reasonable walking distance to the town, although this is quite steep and a bit strenuous without the right footwear or being reasonably fit. Local taxi cost just over £4 so inexpensive if the walk is too daunting! Fabulous and absolutely well worth a visit.

Great place, great location

We wouldn't hesitate to return. The property was very well maintained and in general was to a very high standard. The views from all the bedrooms and especially within bedroom 4 were very good and we enjoyed some relaxing moments on the balconies.

Great house - wonderful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paddock House - the children particularly enjoyed the jaccuzzi bath, and the garden to play in, plus the chest full of toys. We managed to walk down the hill to TorquayHarbour on two occasions for a meal at Rockfish - highly recommended!
