You’d be forgiven for missing this sheltered little beach if you didn’t know it was there as it’s tucked at the foot of Babbacombe’s striking red cliffs. This is the kind of beach we all know and love Torquay for, where you can unfold a deck chair and settle down for a few hours of nothing but admiring views.
Close to Babbacombe Beach in Torquay, Oddicombe can be accessed on foot, by car or via the Babbacombe Cliff Railway (advisable for those who struggle with steps). However you make your way down to the beach once you get there you’ll find a sheltered location, plenty of space and a little beach cafe that lures visitors down especially for its hot dogs.
The nearest parking is at Babbacombe Downs, around half a mile from the beach. Oddicombe Beach is perfect for those enjoying beach holidays in Torquay’s delightful Babbacombe and St Marychurch area. One end of the beach is closed off due to recent landslides, so please avoid this section of the beach for your safety.
