Bygones is an indoor family attraction in Torquay, and it’s as close as you can get to winding the clock back to days gone by. Wander the mock Victorian street and peer into shop windows, experience the sounds and darkness of an air raid and rediscover long-forgotten childhood memories with a visit.
Bygones is packed with memories and memorabilia from the 40s, 50s and earlier, and even if you’ve visited before you’ll spot something you haven’t before. Play the games that entertained our grandparents in the old fashioned arcade and feel transported back through time as you explore the displays and experiences. There’s a model railway, a World War I trench, a Queen Victoria display and a whole selection of period display rooms. The tea shop serves homemade cakes and snacks, and it’s the only area of the attraction that doesn’t allow dogs inside.
Bygones makes for a quirky place to visit, and as the whole attraction’s indoors it’s perfect for a wet day during your holiday. Described by one visitor as “like stepping into a tardis”, Bygones is all about reminiscing on days gone by and giving in to nostalgia for a few hours. We guarantee you’ll see at least one item that you’d long forgotten from your childhood!
