Description

Set in the peaceful village of Torcross, At The Beach offers a relaxing holiday destination while still having plenty in the local area to keep you entertained.

The apartments are situated at the end of a three mile shingle beach where you will also find a cosy pub and cafes. The freshwater Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve is also close by and is perfect for spotting wildlife and birdwatching.

Number 4 is a spacious and stylish ground floor apartment that benefits from views towards the beach and nature reserve. Travel cots, high chairs and stair gates are available on request.

A selection of complimentary hot drinks are provided upon your arrival.

Torcross was made famous as the training ground for US Army forces preparing for the D-Day invasion in World War II. An American Sherman tank which was lost at sea in 1944 and recovered in 1984, and memorials, stand beside the visitor parking lot as a reminder of the lives that were lost.

Dartmouth is a short drive away, as is Salcombe, and both offer a choice of fine restaurants, cafes, bars, unique shops and attractions.

Very close to beach

The apartment was very spacious modern and clean. Ideal location for early morning walk on the beach and through the nature reserve. Very peaceful. Shop was just around the corner. Close to other beaches and Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Ideal.

4 At the Beach

Have just returned from a week at The Beach in Torcross and would highly recommend staying there. Our apartment and facilities were 5*. Situated yards from the Torcross beach the location couldn't be better for water sport enthusiasts and families. Will definitely be going back!

4 At the Beach

A well appointed comfortable apartment located just a few feet from the beach and Slapton Ley, with busy pub, excellent beach-front cafe & local shop a short walk away. Number 4 is not directly facing the seafront, but has a view from the main window of both sea and the Ley. Two bedrooms, one en-suite, & a separate shower room. Well equipped kitchen. TV in lounge area & another in main bedroom. WiFi provided, though mobile phone reception within the apartment is patchy. Shingle beach: sea a bit cold for much swimming. Overall an excellent apartment & location.

4 At The Beach

Walls and ceiling in the property are a little thin so it’s a little noisy but otherwise I couldn't knock it at all. Excellent place and would rent it again without second thought.

February Getaway

Brilliant week, superb apartment, everything you need for a great holiday. Five adults stayed in the apartment, it is very spacious and very clean, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely position right on the beach with direct access to the coast path. We have all said that we would definitely return for another stay.
