Although a shorter walk in Teignmouth, Teignmouth to Shaldon on foot is a must during a holiday in either location! If staying in Teignmouth, make your way to the seafront and reach Shaldon either by the historic passenger ferry service or by walking over the bridge.
Once in Shaldon, walk to the ness and pass through the original smuggler’s tunnel which leads to Ness Cove beach. There are beautiful views of Teignmouth from Shaldon’s beach, so it’s worth taking a camera. If you return to Teignmouth via ferry and wander along the beach you will be met with the sight of a row of fishermen’s cottages, a picturesque reminder of days gone by!
