The South Devon towns of Teignmouth and Dawlish are connected by an indirect walk of 14 miles, which can be taken on in a day’s hike or completed in sections. This walk was devised to mark the 21st celebration of Teignmouth and Dawlish Ramblers and it remains one of the best ways to enjoy this dramatic stretch of coastline. Linked to the South West Coast Path, this walk begins at Teignmouth Pier and finishes at Dawlish Station.
As it’s indirect, this walk takes in some of the stunning rural scenery in the area as well as the sea views that have made the area so popular, including sleepy neighbouring villages, the South Devon coastline and nearby countryside. This walk is unsuitable for completion in one day by inexperienced walkers, as areas are challenging and it is lengthy.
