Description

Bell Cottage is a newly refurbished two bedroom reverse level cottage, situated just outside the town of Sidmouth, close to surrounding countryside, town centre and the Jurassic Coast.

Internally, the cottage offers open plan living areas with extensive countryside views and two bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom. Externally, there is a communal garden area with seating from which the farmland views can be enjoyed.

The nearby town of Sidmouth is one of the prettiest seaside towns in Devon, enjoying period 18th and 19th century architecture, floral displays and a welcoming atmosphere all year round. The town is fiercely proud of its selection of traditional and independent shops, which are a refreshing break from the humdrum high street multiples found in so many towns across the UK.

bell cottage

very good but not much storage space in bedrooms. Although information said there was sitting out area which was shared with next cottage there was no where to sit outside and no where to peg washing out.

Bell Cottage

If you're looking for a relaxing holiday with none of the normal "Seaside" sounds, then Bell Cottage is for you.Set in stunning countryside, with superb views. It's easy to see why this cottage was renovated upside down. Giving it full advantages of the views. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, so none of the fighting over who's going to be first in there. Only a mile from Sidmouth, giving you have the best of both worlds in this location. All the main resorts and towns are in easy reach. And if you like to explore new places and want different experiences, then you'll have come to the right place. 10/10.

Bell Cottage

This is a high quality property with top of the range fixtures and fittings. Ideally placed for visits to the coast, but be aware it's along a very very narrow lane. The open plan lounge/dining area/kitchen is very attractive with stunning views. The bedrooms are "snug"! Highly recommended.

Bell Cottage in September

The cottage is very well equipped and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. This ranks as one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in and would thoroughly recommend staying there. There is a short drive up a very narrow lane up to the cottage which has a few passing points and is used by farm traffic - however we didn't encounter any problems, but perhaps we were lucky! The view from the cottage is brilliant and if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

Wonderful holiday

Beautifully appointed cottage with wonderful views. The cottage was well equipped with everything you'd need to have a relaxing home from home. It was very quiet (we didn't see another soul the whole week and met no one coming up or down the narrow lane) with lovely rurual views. Downstairs was snug but perfectly adequate with good storage, clever use of space. We liked that it was 'upside' down thus making the most of the fabulous views. There is a small garden a short distance from the cottage which also took advantage of the views. The location is well placed for touring the area, lots to see and explore. The fantastic weather also played its part in making this one of our best UK holidays.
