Description

Seaescape, Salcombe Retreat is a spacious lodge offering high quality accommodation with rural and far reaching sea views. The homes have been positioned to provide a sense of privacy and yet, at the same time, maximise the clear, uninterrupted country and sea views through floor to ceiling windows in the living rooms.

This idyllic location is surrounded by National Trust land in an area designated as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lodge has been finished with a contemporary feel to its interior that enhances its country and coastal setting. Externally, the lodge benefits from a large decked area with seating, perfect for al fresco dining.

The beach at Soar Mill Cove is a 15-20 minute walk away (downhill) and provides a haven of tranquillity. There is a sandy beach which is surrounded by cliffs with numerous rock pools to explore and clear blue waters to swim in. You can also enjoy long walks on the South West Coast Path, which takes you along some of the most unspoilt coastline in the country. It is also ideal for bird watching, with regular sightings of Gannets and Peregrine Falcons.

Salcombe Harbour is a ten minute drive away and offers fine restaurants, bars, cafes and individual shops and galleries.

Perfect retreat

The owners have taste, the lodge was a delight, well equipped and spotless. Two good bathrooms, one with bath and shower and the other, a walk in shower. Comfortable beds with clean linen and towels. Brilliant kitchen and lounge Wi-fi not that good but workable. Mobile phone signal poor around the whole area. There is a petrol station attached to a big Co-Op about a mile away. Lots of great Pubs serving food. Many of the lanes are single track so watch out for tractors, there are passing places. Nearest big supermarket is in Kingsbridge Very enjoyable and will visit again Pete from Reading

A Little bit of luxury

We recently spent a few days at Seaescape in Salcombe with my elderly Mother prior to her admission to hospital to help her relax. Seaescape certainly did that! We were blessed with lovely weather enabling us to make the most of the beautiful sea views and everything at the lodge was of the highest quality - from the crockery to the bed linen - we loved it. An artistically put together package that we thoroughly enjoyed - we would definitely go back when time permits.

atering for 3 generations in a lodge in Salcombe Retreat

The lodge was very clean and well equipped which meant that all ages were able to enjoy themselves. There were games for the children and adequate seating for those not needing to be active all the time. The catering facilities gave opportunities to BBQ or to be able to cook and serve meals in comfort. It was disappointing for those who rely on technology as the WiFi did not function properly. Help was readily available on site to respond to any difficulties. There was information to assist with knowing about the facilities in the area The beds were very comfortable - the 6 year old wanted to take the bed home!

Sea view at Seaescape

24 Seaescape was just what we asked for. Great sea view, very quiet & relaxing and fairly good weather. The property itself was spacious and ultra clean. The owner went out of their way to provide all we needed for a perfect stay. Directions to the property were very clear. The only thing I struggled with was finding and accessing the property key, maybe clearer instructions might be helpful. Stunning property and a credit to the owners.

From booking to leaving, what a wonderful experience we had. The booking was easy as anything, Dawn from Bluechip Holidays was brilliant and was on hand to answer any questions that we had. We decided to spend Christmas at the Salcombe Retreat Seascape, the weather was just what we wanted, very 'Heathcliff', which made the changeable view even more perfect and what a view from the lodge, looking straight out to sea. Our hosts had left a lovely note on our arrival, plus had put some very lovely Christmas decorations up, its the little things that make the biggest difference. The accommodation was spot on, in fact beautiful, the pictures just don't do this place justice. The interior is modern, clean and homely and we nearly didn't leave When you first drive to the accommodation, you go through narrow, winding lanes and feel that you are in the most remote location (typical townies, however one of the reasons for booking) however once you get your bearings, nothing is too far away and we soon settled into a very nice pace of life. If you are thinking of booking, do not hesitate, we couldn't fault it in anyway and believe me when you live with someone who can find a fault in anything this is a big achievement.

We'll be back!

We had one of our best holidays ever at Seaescapes. The lodge was so lovely and really well equipped. The views are stunning, and the local area full of little coves .... Ideal for children looking out for Pirates! We certainly will be rebooking!
