Description

Eden Lodge, 9 Salcombe Retreat, has been designed by an award-winning team and offers high quality accommodation with breathtaking views across the fields and out to sea. The homes have been positioned to provide a sense of privacy and yet, at the same time, maximise the country and sea views from the living room through floor to ceiling windows.

Eden Lodge was personally specified during the build process by its owners, and as such, is completely bespoke and has many ‘extras’ in keeping with its coastal and maritime location. All of the framed artworks in the lodge are original photographs taken of the local area. The lodge contains a comprehensive collection of local maps, guidebooks, Blu-ray DVDs and a small selection of games.

This idyllic location is surrounded by National Trust land in an area designated as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lodge has been finished with a contemporary feel to its interior that enhances its country and coastal setting.

The beach at Soar Mill Cove is a 15-20 minute downhill walk away and provides a haven of tranquility. There is a beautiful sandy beach which is surrounded by cliffs. There are also numerous rock pools to explore, and beautiful clear blue waters to swim in. You can also enjoy breathtaking walks on the South West Coast Path which takes you along some of the most unspoilt coastline in the country. It is also fantastic for bird watching, with regular sightings of Gannets and Peregrine Falcons.

Salcombe harbour is a 5-10 minute drive away and offers fine restaurants, bars, cafes and individual shops and galleries.

Eden Lodge, 9 Salcombe Retreat

We had a brilliant experience in this property. Eden Lodge was fully equipped with all we needed and more. There was dvd's board games, children's toys, local maps, and reading material all in the lodge, we found that every detail was thought about to make our holiday special. The quality of everything in the lodge was 5 star. Cutlery, kitchen ware, bedding, towels the shower- all were excellent quality. The decor of Eden lodge was beautiful, curtains, blinds, duvet covers all matched, with paintings all tying in perfectly. This has been very well completed and we can't wait to come back to stay again. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, friendly people. Mark from Second to None was very helpful and on site every day. We would definitely recommend to a friend and would love to stay again. Thank you to the Owners of Eden lodge, to Blue Chip Properties and to Mark and the Team at Second to None. From a very happy and relaxed after our Retreat

Eden Lodge, 9 Salcombe Retreat

I was very impressed with both the booking service and the actual site on my arrival. I thought the holiday was well worth the money and is now actually looking like a bargain. The holiday was booked for my Mum's 70th and she enjoyed it so much she did not want to leave! I would recommend both Blue Chip Holidays and the holiday I chose at Eden Lodge in Salcombe. Both surpassed my expectations. Thanks for everything Blue Chip Holidays.

Eden Lodge, 9 Salcombe Retreat

We stayed in Eden Lodge for a week in May 2011 and were very impressed with the property and its amenities. The layout was spacious, the furnishings were excellent with additional mod cons such as I Pod docking station, Bluetooth, etc. and the Salcombe Retreat site is quiet, peaceful and with beautiful sea and countryside views. We would happily recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Eden Lodge - Salcombe Retreat

we enjoyed the perfect holiday at No 9 Eden lodge - Salcombe Retreat. Blessed with beautiful September sunshine, we spent everyday out walking with our dog. Spectacular coastline walk on the doorstep to Hope Cove. Recommend the Hope and Anchor for great lunch. Another wonderful place to eat is the beach hut at South Milton sands. If you like seafood, this is not to be missed. The beach hut is informal, with shared bench seating, so you must be prepared to be social in this retro chic restaurant. Do not miss the opportunity to visit Burgh Island, great beach here also. Be prepared for very narrow roads, difficult if you drive a larger vehicle. Be aware that if you have a dog you are not allowed to leave it on its own at any time, whilst you go out For dinner for instance, this was the only restriction that compromised our otherwise fantastic holiday. We went out for dinner together when we got back home.

Great short break at Eden Lodge

Eden Lodge lives up to it's name as luxury accommodation. It is modern clean & well thought out. There is everything you need & all items were top quality! The location is very peaceful & fairly isolated - if that's what you are looking for? The lodge sleeps 5 & there is plenty of space to accommodate this many people. Perfectly located to drive into Salcombe or Kingsbridge. There is a small beach at Soarmill Cove, which is around 20-25 minutes walk away. Had a very relaxing stay here!

Lovely short break away.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 nights at Eden Lodge. Eden Lodge is VERY well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay & all items are of high quality (something we have not found at any other holiday rental property we have been to before). The location was as expected....nice & quiet and away from the hussle a bussle....just what we were after. This holiday included our little puppy who throughly enjoyed herself on the beach at Soar Mill cove (even if it was a bit of an energetic walk back!) I was pleseantly suprised by how clean the poperty was (especially since dogs were accepted), having never taken a dog with us before we weren't sure what to expect, but this property exceeded our expectations (no evidence of any previous pooches!).,...fantastic! We have just 2 little niggles with this property that we feel only fair to mention: 1) The hot water - we did find that the hot water was a little on an off......The shower would start nice and hot but then go freezing cold then back to nice and hot several times during a 5 minute shower. We guessed that this maybe due to the (lovely & perfect) powerful showers pumping the water through quicker than the boiler could heat it. 2) Internet access - Whilst we did not come away to use the internet, the service was extremely poor for anyone wanting to use the internet to stream music or films or indeed do some work whilst away. (Something that didn't really cause us an issue, buy might do to others). We really did have a lovely stay & would definately not hesitate to comeback to Eden Lodge again soon (hopefully the sun might shine a bit more for us next time too :) ) Thank you The Coombs's The Dunk's And Rufflette the Schnauzer

Wonderful lodge in a beautiful situation, thank you for sharing your home. We are leaving on the sunniest day unfortunately! There have been some very stormy nights. But overall we have had a lovely time in your property, will definitely be back again.

Beautiful Lodge...

Beautiful lodge, very thoughtfully put together, we felt an immediate sense of tranquillity. We had some good weather at the beginning of our week. Which we have never had throughout all the years of coming to this part of the country. It showed Devon in alls it glory and its absolutely stunning.

What a find...

What a find! We were delighted to find such a lovely clean & well equipped property for our first holiday with our pup. Lovely light, airy & comfortable for the 5 of us. We would love to return to the area for more exploring & we will be checking if this property is free first.
