peace and quiet

A lovely lodge on a small quiet park. Number 22 was very well appointed with a good view of the sea. Soar mill cove was a 20 minute walk down hill (and rather longer back uphill)! There is a nice hotel down the road and wonderful walks from the park. A lovely place to relax and unwind.

Fantastic 5* chalet in idyllic Devon location.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing short holiday with our 3 teenage children at Salcombe Retreat in Soar, Devon. The chalet style accommodation was very high quality, sited in a small development of similar quality chalets, with direct views of the sea. A 10 min walk took us to the unspoilt Soar Mill Cove bay and Soar Mill Cove hotel were we ate and used the Spa facilities. Salcombe Retreat is also close to the South West Coastal Path which takes you directly to Salcombe. Perfect relaxing get-way break.

We loved it - received excellent service from second to none also as we had a problem with TV sorted very promptly. Location and the quality of lodge fab. Yes it took a little getting used to the narrow road to Salcombe Retreat but we coped! From all similar types of property we have booked in the past this excelled all. The little extras e.g. hand wash, tea lights, cool box ice packs all attention to detail for what a holiday requires. Maps available to use due to its South Coast Walk location.... and yes the board games which we did use ! Only one slight niggle - Re signage - there is no signage on corner/bend at turn off at Malborough so we did get lost on initial route and ended up on single track roads. But yes - Many Thanks

Happy Holiday

An excellent company to book your holiday with. They deliver a friendly and efficient service, with all the information you need about the location and amenities at their properties. This is the 3rd holiday we have booked with Blue Chip and we will happily use them again.
