Description

14 Salcombe Retreats is a spacious lodge offering high quality accommodation with breathtaking rural views. The homes have been positioned to provide a sense of privacy and yet, at the same time, maximise the clear, uninterrupted country and sea views from the living room through floor to ceiling windows.

This idyllic location is surrounded by National Trust land in an area designated as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lodge has been finished with a contemporary feel to its interior that enhances its country and coastal setting.

The beach at Soar Mill Cove is a 15-20 minute downhill walk away and provides a haven of tranquility. There is a beautiful sandy beach which is surrounded by cliffs. There are also numerous rock pools to explore and beautiful clear blue waters to swim in. You can also enjoy breathtaking walks on the South West Coast Path which takes you along some of the most unspoilt coastline in the country. It is also fantastic for bird watching, with regular sightings of Gannets and Peregrine Falcons.

Salcombe harbour is a 5-10 minute drive away and offers fine restaurants, bars, cafes and individual shops and galleries.

14 Salcombe Retreat - A fantastic holiday for all!

We travelled down to Salcombe in a large group for a family wedding, most of my family stayed in the centre of Salcombe but we stayed a little further out. So pleased we found this place as it was amazing - my kids didn't want to leave and had everything we needed. The members of my family commented on the lodge when they visited and I could tell they were impressed Thanks again.

SALCOMBE RETREAT HOLIDAY

We had a very enjoyable week in a lodge at Salcombe Retreat. The lodge had every facility required, and was fitted out to a very high standard. Unfortunately the weather was very mixed and we were glad of the heating in the evenings. The lodges are situated in a very quiet yet convenient place - National Trust land and overlooking the sea. Being near to Marlborough was handy where there is an excellent supermarket for topping up for food, as well as a good petrol station. We know this area well, lovely places to visit Dartmouth for a day, and excellent individual shops in the High Street at Kingsbridge a delight. Totnes is also a good place to visit with boating on the river or take a steam train ride. Overall we consider we made an excellent choice for a week away.

Salcombe Retreat

As in the name, a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the town but a short drive of 10 minutes takes you to the heart of Salcombe, with stylish shops and friendly bars. Salcombe Retreat offers everything for everyone, it has a fabulous playing field for kids and a section for our four legged friends to be exercised. Soar Mill Cove a 15 minute stroll away and the coastal paths are great for walkers, we walked to Hope Cove one of the days, you can walk into Salcombe too along the foot paths. We stayed in lodge 14 which was very nice and comfortable, light and airy and well equipped. Hopefully we'll be returning to Salcombe Retreat some day.
