Blue Waters, South Hams

Had a truly relaxing holiday in a truly beautiful property, with fantastic views and friendly and accommodating owners. Couldn't fault a thing. Would definitely recommend. We were made so welcome by the owners even to the extent that Averil had made us 7 fresh scones with clotted cream and jam on arrival. We wish we could go back tomorrow but work somehow gets in the way! Everything shown on your website was exactly just that. Booking was the easiest and quickest we have ever encountered. Thank you.

Piece of Heaven in Devon

My husband and I just spent a wonderful four days at Bluewaters. We were thrilled with the excellent accommodation, along with all the attention to detail, such as the home baked scones, jam and cream, along with other provisions thoughtfully supplied by our wonderful hosts upon our arrival. It was an amazing experience to wake up each morning to such stunning views out over the Plymouth Sound Breakwater and to have such easy access down to the beautiful beaches of Bovisand. The peace and tranquility of the location was heavenly and returning each day from our travels, we looked forward to relaxing in the beautiful garden, watching the stunning sunsets in the West. We would not hesitate to recommend this wee, gem of a place to anyone. For those of you reading this review, you will not be disappointed should you chooses to book the Bluewaters Cottage. You are in for a treat! Teresa and Jack Canada

Top quality accommodation with exceptional views

We arrived with some trepidation as we have been disappointed many times with self-catering accommodation. This experience was beyond our expectations. A warm welcome from Averill who took the time to show us around and left an excellent cream tea and items for breakfast. The weather was perfect and the views and garden could be enjoyed to the full. Cream tea in the chalet overlooking the 'Sound' - could not be better. Unfortunately, the weather closed in from then on and we could not even see the 'Sound' for fog which continued for the rest of the time we were there. Do not be put off by this though because you will not find a more comfortable and better equipped property and if you are lucky with the weather then that is an added bonue. We would recommend Bluewaters to anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay or anyone wanting to take advantage of the extensive walking opportunities. If you like big cities Plymouth is just a short drive away.

A home away from home

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at bluewaters and our stay couldn't have been better. Averill looked after us brilliantly and it was lovely to arrive to freshly made scones after our long journey. There were also a few breakfast goodies and tea supplies which I found very thoughtful. The apartment has everything you could possibly need including some lovely extras (big comfy dressing gowns, Molton Brown and hot water bottles to name a few) to make you feel very spoilt and well looked after. Finally the views from the apartment are stunning no matter what the weather and it's a real treat to be able to open the curtains to these views every morning. We were sad to leave Bluewaters as we had such a lovely time. But my partner is from Plymouth and couldn't praise this place enough, so I'm sure we'll be back again soon!

Bluewaters

My husband and I stayed at Bluewaters for a short break to celebrate our birthdays. We had no difficulty finding the location as we were familiar with the area. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by Avril the owner and shown around the apartment. She then left us with a plate full of freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam and a fridge stocked with bacon, eggs, milk and butter - a wonderful welcome and a super start to our stay! The apartment is superbly finished and comfortable with everything that could possibly be required including lovely toiletries, sumptuous bathrobes and large fluffy towels. We took full advantage of the superb location to explore the SW Coastpath and the numerous coves and beaches within walking distances and at the end of each day spent our evenings with a glass of wine in the garden enjoying the magnificent view and the hardy surfers in the bay! We will definitely make a return visit!!
