Torbay Week runs each August and sees the mild waters of the English Riviera fill with coloured boats in preparation for the annual sailing regatta. One of the leading sailing destinations in the UK, Torbay Week has become one of the area’s best loved events and it always means plenty of activities to enjoy on dry land as well as the chance to watch the action out at sea.
Torbay Week has seen the Bay host a number of exciting races for a wide range of vessels– attracting sailors from all over. If you want to get even better views of the action than can be found in Torquay and Brixham, hop aboard the Greenway Ferry as it crosses the Bay during the sailing events.
The races include Dinghy racing in Babbacombe and yacht racing in Brixham and Royal Torbay, and are a real treat for those on Torquay holidays. The week always ends with a spectacular firework display on the seafront, and as long as the weather’s kind the Red Arrows often treat the crowds to a display too.
