Steamer Quay Cottage

Steamer Quay Cottage is a lovely home, everything else was great. Fabulous location for getting around. The pool table and table football was a huge success, ideal when the weather turned cooler and wetter!! Can recommend Jingles in Torquay for an evening meal, and the Chinese takeaway just up the road from Steamer Quay cottage.

Twixmas Visiting Family

The property was well situated for the beach the steam train ride the shops and the take aways. The only down fall was the key collection, I was not contacted by the property manager and had to contact them. They didn't think we were arriving till Tuesday! Informed that they would meet us at the property and they didn't turn up. Another phone call land we were then informed of the key code entry. Did have a call the next day to check if all was ok with the property. We were very happy with our accommodation and suited our needs very well. Would consider booking in the Summer for a family holiday. Thank you

Steamer Quay Cottage

Enjoyed our stay in The Cottage, lovely location. The floor was a little creaky, especially in the morning. Some were sleeping! Can recommend Jingles in Torquay, Tex-Mex in Torwood Street.

Steamer Quay Cottage

Great week at training. It was really nice to come home to a lovely house after training so hard. The facilities were great and we enjoyed using the pool table. As karate championships go our biggest challenge was the fuseball championship as we have not played before!

Steamer Quay Cottage

The cottage is wonderful, in terms of location and the facilities it offers. We spent a week when it was extremely cold but the area and cottage had everything to make our holiday very enjoyable. The steam train that passes was just great and Paignton is only about a 15 minute walk along the beach and along the cliff path. We are a family with four children 17, 14, 10, and 7. And everyone of them had a great time. I would definitely visit again and recommend blue chip holidays for service.

Perfect holiday experience

From start to finish this holiday was excellent. The cottage at Steamer Quay is outstanding. The decor, location and facilities are without criticism. We had one simple problem with a tap and the owner was there the next day and solved the issue in 30 minutes. The location, within 40 yards of a great family beach was the biggest advantage, once the kids had had enough then back to the cottage for a break and then back to the beach. We used to watch people trudge backwards and forwards carrying beach equipment, none of this for Steamer Quay. Forget anything and it was 2 minutes to get it. The property grounds were perfect for a small family as they are secure and the slanting drive made an excellent scooter park for the 2 youngest. The only problem we encountered was one which the whole of Torbay has and that is the seagulls. Feeding young they were always looking for a meal and several times, not only at the cottage, they attempted to snatch food. This meant we had to keep an eye on everything as they will take it out of your hand if you are not vigilant. At about 0330 most mornings they came back from feeding and use the roof as roosting and feeding spots. Very noisy and a solid nights sleep was broken. That being so said a "Brilliant holiday" and than you to Blue Chip.

Steamer Quay Cottage

We have all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break at Steamer Quay Cottage. A stunning house with lovely views of the beach and sea. We have enjoyed several walks along Goodrington sands. We were so touched that we arrived to find the house filled with lovely Christmas decorations down to the tiny details of Christmas bibs for my 1 year old daughter to use. The steam room/shower/Jacuzzi baths have been big favourites for all! We will definitely recommend to friends and family and we would love to return again. Thank you! Enjoyed a great week on the trains and boat and beach! Thank you very much for a lovely place to stay. Brilliant for us adults and especially the 3 year old. Brilliant kitchen, fantastic having an ice machine. Great living space and entertainment. Very good bedrooms though creaky floorboards upstairs!

Steamer Quay Cottage

We have really enjoyed our week here. The house is in the perfect location and very well equipped (we loved the steam shower and the Jacuzzi bath!) We had a lovely meal at TJ's restaurant in Paignton and the chip shop at the top of the road is definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous weather to accompany fabulous weather

We stayed at Steamer Quay Cottage over the recent hot spell which made its location perfect for the beach. The property itself was fabulous and the pool and table were great entertainment for the older children in our party. We could have stayed longer and our three year old nephew cried on leaving saying he didn't want to leave his holiday house.
