Wonderfull place for family holiday

We booked this house for a mixed age family group the youngest being 4 the oldest 61. Loved all the facililities provided. A good range of kitchen/dining wear was available though I would have liked some pasta bowls. It is very rare for all rooms to have en-suite facilities and was one of the attractions of this property. Our 4 year old made full use of the play facilities in the garden. On the downside the house is on an extremely busy road, this did not bother me as I live on a main road, hopefully when the new bye pass is completed it will make a difference. As for the pub up the road doing food, do not expect run of the mill pub grub the food is excellent.

Harewood House

We have just spent 2 weeks in August at Harewood House. Our party included 4 generations of our family. The facilities in house were excellent, the younger generation being well provided in the pool room with its computer video-juke box to provide "backing music" and the table-top football and television in the adjacent room. The Main lounge had a large TV which provided the more sedate entertainment for the older generations. Outside the large patio deck provided a very pleasant area for sunbathing and general chit chat in the evenings. The Multi playground style equipment would have kept younger members happy too, but the youngest in our group were a bit old for it. The Kitchen was very well equipped, with the constant supply of chilled water and ice being a boon in the hot weather. Another reason for choosing this property was that all bedrooms are en-suite, a rare facility indeed. The location of the property is excellent for exploring both Devon and Cornwall, which has so much to see. Two weeks hardly scratched the surface! The only downside to the property is its location on the main trunk road for the southern coast of Devon and Cornwall, which meant traffic noise was a bit obtrusive, especially if windows were open, though the double glazing did deaden it a bit when closed. There is shortly a bypass to be constructed, so when this is completed the property will be ideal in all aspects.

Brill Family Holiday

From start to finish everything went as planned, on arrival we were very pleased to see the house although its location was not as I imagined being situated on a main road, once inside we were very pleased everything we needed was there it was like home from home only better, with the bus stop situated so near and buses running very regular we didn't even need to use our cars, the youngsters were easily occupied with the games room which made the holiday so much easier lol as we could all relax and have 5 between our daily excursions to visit the many attraction nearby, we all enjoyed our stay and would defiantly recommend this company and Harewood House.

Harewood House

We were a mixed family group with children ranging from 1 to 14 plus adults. The facilities were superb with plenty of room for everyone without being under each others' feet in the house and the enclosed garden was great for the little ones.

Harewood House

The house was beautifully presented but I have one negative comment I would like to mention, the showers were very cramped, some of the jets didn't work and they looked dirty. Rather than such elaborate showers I would have been happier with a bit more room and a better quality clean looking shower. Some of the jets and corners of the shower cubicles were rather grubby with black mould and were 'past their sell by date'. Otherwise a brilliant holiday and my family loved the house, the pool table went down a storm and the small TV room with the Xbox was very useful. I loved the large roomy kitchen and the massive dining table, a very relaxing holiday and very safe outside for our grandchildren to play. Shame about the showers but otherwise top marks.

Harewood House stay

Excellent weekend had by all. Booked Harewood House for a surprise for my sister-in-law for her 50th Birthday. 10 of us in all stayed. The en-suites in every room are ideal. Area outside was good and in the summer would be lovely. Would highly recommend the pub up the road, just a minute away. Has everything you could possibly want here and very spacious. Would like to visit again.

Weekend Break 21st-24th Nov 2014

We are a group of 5 couples who have been holidaying together for approx 16 years the accommodation was fantastic with the added advantage of having 5 en suite bedrooms, nice games room and plenty of televisions to suit everyone's viewing needs. The house was also lovely and warm being we were there in November. A fantastic kitchen diner, plenty of room for everyone. The house is set on a very busy road but has the advantage of being close to a bus stop and not far from lots of places of interest. We have given top marks for everything except one very small thing that didn't look very nice on arrival as we are all non smokers this was really noticeable the container for cigarette ends outside the front door had not been emptied and also there was one outside the back door that hadn't been emptied either but not a problem as we emptied it ourselves just a point for cleaners in the future. The booking procedure with Blue Chip holidays was excellent we will definitely use again Thanks everyone for making our Turkey and Tinsel weekend fantastic. from "Silver Mother Tours" the name we have given our group!!

3rd time and still fab!

This is the third time we have used Blue Chip and yet again, it was a hassle free process. I love the ease of the website, you can get your quote straight away without sending enquires and waiting for quotes to come back! (Like many other group accommodation sites) the houses/cottages we have stayed in have always been very nice, clean and fully equipped.

Harewood House

Amazing house, although we didn't make full use of the sauna and feel it would be a great 6th bedroom! An additional lock at the top of the front door would be useful as the younger family members kept trying to escape ? We had fab days out at the model village, monkey sanctuary near Plymouth and Paignton. The house was big enough for all 12 of us and we will recommend to friends.

Thankyou Blue chip Holidays, what a fantastic time we had at Harewood House in Torquay. The house was amazing and had everything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable and also the location, perfect for getting about and sightseeing. If there was one thing more that we could have wished for it would be a Jacuzzi to relax in at the end of a busy day. Well done Blue Chip Holidays, keep up the good work. There was nine of us in this house ages ranging from 3 to 70, the house was beautiful with all mod cons, all showers were fantastic in the spacious en suites, and the rooms were all a good size and decorated to a high standard. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay there again.
