Stowford Manor

Stowford Manor was a terrific place to have a break. The pictures don't do justice to the overall proportions of the rooms. What made it really special was the extra touches Fiona the owner added. Amazing mince meat pies and jam. Great.!

Wow

Three generations of the family spent a long weekend at Stowford Manor and all of us thought the place was excellent. Very high quality furnishings, fittings and equipment. We had a lovely warm welcome. There is plenty of space for everyone and lots of books, games etc. The fires made the house cosy and warm. The location works very well. You can walk into Ivybridge in less than 10 minutes (though there is a steep hill) but when you're in the house and the garden you feel as if you are miles from anywhere. Amazing views from the bedrooms.

A wonderful place to share with family and friends

Wow, what a place - Stowford Manor is superb. We booked the house as a bit of a treat for us and our wider family whilst visiting the UK (from Bahrain). It certainly lived up to expectations and we ended our trip on a high. Fiona the host was there to meet us and had arranged everything to suit our needs. There was a homemade cake to greet us which was a lovely touch. We took advantage of the chef Steve and who cooked dinner for our family on two evenings. It was fantastic. The house is very sumptuous, with a very large family kitchen with everything you would need - even for gourmet cooks. It’s decorated beautifully throughout; each bedroom has a different theme. Our little ones loved collecting the eggs from the chicken coop and playing in the large garden. Location is very good, within a few minutes of the little village, boutique shops, small supermarket, butchers etc. Also close to Plymouth and other attractions. Would definitely book again.

An outstanding large, comfortable, stylish home from home.

Bigger even than it looks on the website. Beautifully furnished and equipped for a large number of guests. We used it for 10 house guests and everyone had a wonderful time. Tennis on the lawn, eggs from the resident chickens, fresh veg from the garden, what could be better. We held an afternoon family get together for 30+ on the front lawn in the sunshine. Fiona, the owner, even provides a bucket of Lego which kept the children amused for hours on end. This house is as close to perfection as one can get!

Stowford Manor - wonderful manor house, a real gem of a home

We recently rented Stowford Manor as a group of 12 adults plus a toddler and baby. The house is very spacious and easily accommodated our large group. Stowford Manor is truly wonderful, with real attention to detail throughout. Everything has been thought about down to the finest detail. Each room is very different, all are fantastic - Fiona really has restored the house to a very high standard. The photographs on the website really do not do it justice - every room is immaculate and very spacious. Fiona really has thought of everything. We were welcomed by Fiona & Steve with home made scones and jam plus wine - very generous and very thoughtful. The house is fully equipped plus plus! Really there is everything - chickens roaming around the grounds providing eggs too! Our whole party had a fantastic long weekend and we are trying to find a reason to return! Highly recommend Stowford Manor - a real get away hide away gem of a house.

Everything we could ever hope for

We booked Stowford Manor for our Wedding, it was outstanding in every way. Our guests were overwhelmed by how gorgeous the accommodation was as well as the stunning grounds. The manor offered something for everyone, whatever their age and it was incredibly impressive throughout. The owners are great people and made our weekend so special and much more than we ever dreamed of! Our daughter loved it so much she understandably didn't want to leave! A perfect and stunning estate in every way, thank you.

Stowford Manor

What an awesome house to stay in! And what a lovely warm welcome from Fiona, with a gorgeous cream tea with home-made jam. One of the high-lights of our holiday was collecting the eggs and watching the new born ducklings, and we loved picking veg from the garden. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Stowford

This a very special home, as you know. You really have done it justice in the restoration and decorating you have done. It has been a happy place for us to reconnect with our family from Western Canada, Spain and UK. I do hope we will be able to come again. In fact, I have been tempted to have the locks changed and just stay!
