Just over 4.5 miles long there and back, this scenic Clovelly walk should take just over 2 hours overall. The coastal path between Clovelly and Mouth Mill Cove has it all...from quiet meadows and pretty woodland to exhilarating cliffs – there’s plenty to see on the walk to the seclusion of Mouth Mill Cove.
The area surrounding Clovelly is one of North Devon’s most unspoilt ones and it’s always been popular with walkers. If you love rugged beauty, uninterrupted views and peace and quiet when you’re hiking then this is a great section of the South West Coast Path to tackle, and it’s just diverse enough to make the journey feel like a bit of an adventure.
It’s worth noting that the terrain can be slippery and includes narrow, steep paths in places. Look out for the cottage along the way, which was formerly the mill referred to in the name of this walk. If you’re hoping to get some good snaps during the walk, make sure you stop at the Look-Out as this is the best vantage point for miles around.
